Hiram McDaniels Depends on if he got hit in any vital organs. The shot hit his side, so it either hit the ribs and was deflected into the digestive system, or it hit an organ like the appendix or gallbladder. There was no exit wound, which helps him as the exit is always worse than the entrance.

Just be aware that just like "Deadliest Warrior", the fighting is for only entertainment purposes only. The outcome is already determined by the combatants' capabilities so this fight is simply one description of countless possible encounters. Besides, Death Battle wouldn't be as fun if all that were presented were stats and feats, right?

I know this is four years late, but the fight does matter in some sense. The fight is what makes Death Battle who they are and why they are so famous. If a character DOESN’T act like how they would in the fight, people would be angry. This fight at least to me is the one of the few good death battles that has the correct research and reasoning, to some extent of course.

About the part when Snake found Sam so quickly in the dark. Sam maybe an expert with blending into the shadows and Mark VIII Tactical Operations Suit made him invisible to night vision, but that doesn't mean he's invisible to everything else. As far as I know, Sam has never come to fight against anti-steath and navigation system that's equal to his Multi-Vision Goggles, which is basically Snake's Solid Eye. Plus, the Solid Eye also had radar, which Sam has no defense against. Plus, Snake has managed to evade Night Vision and Infrared before. So, all in all, Snake finding Sam first in the dark makes sense.

Commonly in a stand off between two armed men behind cover, the one who doesn't have to move can defend and react easier provided that the attack routes are limited. Sam only had one door he could have gone in, meaning the only way he'd win at the bathrooms was to provide some kind of distraction to block Snake's vision or dull his reaction time. Even with his arsenal, Sam's only option was a smoke grenade, which would've been useless when thinking about the Solid Eye. Choosing not to end it at the stalls merely made the fight last longer for the video's sake, it wouldn't have changed the outcome with that itself.

Simple: while Sam and Grimm are chatting, her part of the transmission is only heard by Sam, but it's NOT the same the other way around. When Snake's in the next room and Otacon makes the comm squeal, Sam gives away his position by yelling, "GAAHHH! What the HELL was that!!!"... I'm just sayin'. :)

Honestly Snake's Solid Eye is OP as fuck. It has night vision, radar, thermal vision, footprint detection, model detection(?) (with tanks and other artillery), heart rate monitoring, sweat secretion detection. All sorts of shit.

Snake would easily win, Sams got overall better gear and better training for darkness and stealth in buildings, but Snake......Snake is barely even human with some of the stuff he pulls off. Combine superhuman abilities (reaction times, strength, speed, endurance) with superior combat training, plus his Solid Eye that helps negate most of Sam's stealth advantages and he would win. As agents on a mission, Sam is superior, but as combatants fighting each other Snake is much better.

I'm a long time avid fan of both series, Metal Gear more so than Splinter Cell (I have the MSF logo and motto tattooed to my shoulder😂). Solid Snakes character isn't really rooted in reality, and his abilities tends to be a bit exaggerated along with the universe he exists in. Sam Fisher on the other hand is more of the elite version of what a clandestine operator would be like. So it's not really fair to compare the two. All logic aside, Solid Snake would probably come out on top.

Can't say I agree with that outcome. Sam has sonar vision, footprint tracking and nightvision, there is no way Snake would be able to sneak up on him if Sam was cautious.... which he would be if this was accurate as that's how he's been trained as the best agent third echelon has. So yeah, Snake would be able to take Sam in close quarters, but Snake would never get that close, Sam would see him through a wall or sneaking up he would then pull out his rifle and gun him down/fire a grenade etc. Snake should have lost this.
