With the 'Frost Demons' (Frieza Race, no official name) and their forms, what I heard (not sure where from) is that Frieza's 4th Form, is actually the natural form that all members of the race are born with. They develop the other forms to contain their power as the grow because they can't suppress it like humans/saiyans/namekians can without physically changing. And if they keep full power up it damages the area around them after a while.

All of that comes from Frieza himself. He said on Namek that 4th form is his real form, other forms are to suppress his power because he's unable to control it and Frieza unintentionally destroyed a planet once. All of that is in the show.

@@kazeguy8869 Wrong. They don't feel like less is needed, it's simply that Frieza sucks at ki control so less power was needed to minimize damage when Frieza throws temper tantrums. Also there are no other members of his race because as it was revealed by Toriyama King Cold is actually a mutant of his race and so is Frieza, so you might as well say they are their own race as there are no others like them because they are mutants.

It's said in the manga, and every version of the anime, that mecha Freeza is significantly stronger than Freeza ever was, even in his buff state, but Trunks, and by extension Goku ECLIPSE both him and King Cold, who was also said to be stronger, if only a little, than Freeza here. Also, I think the prevailing theory is that Freeza (and the non-canonical Cooler) are the only 2 of their race in this universe that can transform, but the rest of their race is always in 1 of the 4 forms, but predominantly the first 3.

freeza's race has transformation to help conserve their power, freeza's final form is actually his original while the small one is meant to not waste energy. I don't remember if they mention in the manga is king cold was in a transformed state or if maybe thats just his natural form and he doesn't do anything to conserve energy

i think king cold is in his final form. as a matter of fact, freeza's base form is actually his final form. he said that he created his 1st, 2nd, and 3rd forms because he had trouble controlling his power normally. considering king cold is older then freeza, and more experienced, i think he can likely control his power just fine, meaning he would not need to use different form in the first place, in terms of why he looks like freeza's second form, we can look to dragon ball xenoverse, in which we can see that members of freeza's race come in forms with/without horns, and with different body features, and different sizes

Goku toyed with freeze and he always builds up. In the show at the end Goku was not impressed by freeze's 100 power and actually decided to leave. Goku is merciful and trunks takes no chances after what he went through.

Mecha Frieza is actually stronger. "The machinery made him quite stronger. Anywhere from 1.5 to 2x stronger putting him above Namek Ark SSJ Goku and Full Power Frieza. Although Goku and friends had grown stronger too so it didn't end up Frieza too well. The machinery made him quite stronger."
