The US needs to take care of the USCitizens. I don’t believe either the US or Israel can really depend on anyone but themselves- I saw the conversation about how Israel stopped the sheckles program which stopped their production of munitions.

The risk for Israel to have ammunition independence would be at the expense of diplomatic relations with the US. Israel still need the US for diplomatic support and public opinion. Israel need to be sensitive to balance it in this regard. The Arab have done a good job at influencing top universities against Israel. If the Jews can't compete at that level, then I think Jews can look for smaller independent universities and seek for their support. There are universities such as the Master's university, Liberty University and Grand Canyon University which are very pro Israel. These are also Christian universities. The Christian population in US has decline by 20 percent. The number is even larger among Evangelicals. If Evangelicals go further and further away in number, you can expect the support for the nation of Israel in the US will diminish.
