Good change. Sucks, but it was too easy. Why struggle against a M+ +9 if Zekvir gives the same vault in a tenth the time?

This really isn't a good argument. Delves and M+ are on different tracks for the weekly vault. Not to get into a giant discussion on the discrepancy of Delve vs M+ difficulty for Vaults, but T8 Delves are not a challenge at all, they are just time consuming. Being able to fight Zekvir to unlock the delve Vault track was a nice convenience. Now as it stands, I will likely just never run a delve or fill out the Delve track on the weekly vault.

@@boestera Maybe they should just have the ?? difficulty count. having people just skipping delves all together and doing the ? difficulty isn't a good idea. They could put it on a weekly or maybe even daily lockout too in terms of vault slot that would be reasonable.

i can understand Blizz point of view. The vault slots should for delve should not be granted for 3-4min action, but for a complete delve. for me , i would like if they allow players to get ONE vault slot per week for defeating Zerkvir (3 is really too much)

Eh, not necessarily. Delves are for everyone because it supplements pieces you don’t get from either, gearing up solely by M+ is terrible. Plus, there’s quite a few BiS trinkets from different tanks and dps

It's a little funny losers are saying Blizz hates players, when the only reason this even became a thing, was because Blizz nerfed Zek to the ground, because some players couldn't do it.

I agree. Skipping all tiers of all Delves just to spam Zek'vir completely bypasses the entire Delve system. That is not sustainable design for the game long term.

@@Tijuanabill they can take hours if you want to fill all the vault slots and you are flying around to different ones. Personally I will only do delves if they are bountiful so I don't fill all my slots in the same day

Anyone who complains about them fixing something broken, needs to find a new game to play. Doing zekvir over and over means less players do delves. Youre not supposed to finish all 8 depves in 30 minutes. Youre supposed to do a couple or all bountifuls each day even without keys. A t8 deove takes me as a 615 fury warrior about 12 minutes with brann set to healing.

I really don't understand the zekvir change. I can do fungal folley in 7 minutes and zekvir in 2. Is saving 5 minutes per delve really such a big issue they need to remove it from vaults.

My man, the thing is you have to do DELVES, not do 1 easy boss on repeat, that's not doing the content. That's how it should've been from the beginning. If you don't wanna do delves that's fine, you ain't getting the loot.

I actually have to disagree with you here. The idea of killing Zekvir over and over was certainly not intended, nor fun. Most delves can be cleared fast and offers variety. As a developer, it was a no brainer to change it. Not to mention this doesn't impact you as a player at all, who wasn't doing delves anyway. If you really want to complete your vault, spend like the 2 hours to complete 8 delves.

@@neverclevernorwitty7821 not at all, but it was affecting blizzards design of delves. Like I said, as a designer, it makes sense. Killing the same boss, what is equivalent to a raid/world boss 8 times to get loot has typically not been how WoW is handled. Zekvir probably could have had a weekly or daily lockout

@@lawless7859 sure, but delves were not designed for people like that so blizz doesn't need to cater to them. Delves are designed to be end game for world pve players. Not raiders or mythic + people.

Blizzard logic is simple: Slower loot means longer subs. They want money, and stringing you along makes them money.

Totally incorrect in my opinion. Filling the vault with all my alts let me slowly progress my alt chars. Therefore I will play with more alts in the future and therefore sub longer. With my limited time this was a godsend to gear them almost passively alongside.

@@LJoe9 What they should do is once you reach a certain ilvl with your main is to give you an option to pick up warband gear in the vaults. It gets exhausting trying to fill the vault slots for all my alts.

They didn't "ruin" anything. Players found the most efficient way of filling the vault and Blizz decided it was too efficient.

The time investment of killing zekvir a couple times to cap out those 3 slots, vs cappung out your M+ slots and raid slots was incongruous. The others could take hours, the delves could take 30 minutes. I dont think it is unreasonable to bring it in line in terms of time investment. Also, if now you dont feel obligated to do it, and yku did it on 5 characters, go enjoy the two and a half hours you just gained not killing zekvir each week.

To be fair, you're not supposed to fill all the content, delves were an alternative progression path. But they should have at least made it so your first Zekvyr counts in the week. Not sure we'd call it fun, so seeing fun was detected is pushing it a bit.. efficiency maybe, but fun?

I can see some logic, makes delves more of a lifestyle choice rather than the raiders having more chance at gear. It’s a bit of a stay in your lane decision, not a big issue really. Bliz still finally catering for a larger audience rather than the historical few % which is nice for player like myself that want some challenge but gave up on all that raiding nonsense years ago.

TBH, as a player who dont raid or do M+ and my gear come from delves and great vault I really dont mind it. I like doing open world content, old raid and dungeon farm both for getting transmog to myself and to sell on AH, I just started dipping my toes into some professions in war within (Herbalism and Alchemy). TBH I dont get why you doing delves, if you dont enjoy them and you can not really get gear upgrade from doing them.

I stopped doing vaults because they're just tedious after doing them a few times. I like heroic dungeons but they don't offer high enough gear, so there's no point doing them either. I've had my 1.5 months of fun; it's time to cancel the sub now.

They have time to hotfix things like this but the Nerubian Gemweaver you buy with 6 coins doesnt indicate you cannot use it on season 1 pvp gear. Glad I wasted my vault slot this week on an item thats going to rot in my bags, cant even refund it to the vendor to get coins back lol

That's exactly why this happened and is exactly why a concept like delves will never work in WoW. They hyped them up so much meanwhile we're a little over a month in and they're already nearing uselessness due to crybabies complaining that we could get good gear out of them.It's why the classic concept of gearing will always be better than any system retail uses.

The delves are just as trivial, if you outgear the delves then why wouldn't you pick the faster option, all this will do is push everyone to doing the quickest singular delve 8 times a row.

Not unreasonable. If someone is doing Zekvir ++ they probably don't need anything from tier 8 delves. Another interesting idea would be to give double slots to people who complete max level delves. Significantly ups the challenge but also ups the reward rate

Honestly this one was dumb. Getting your vault done quickly was such a quality of life. Also the layer didn’t drop good loot so there still was a benefit to doing delves on its own if you wanted bountiful gear. Instead the player base has to grind out 20min delves on their mains for no reason.

they really should consider allowing the vault to give warband gear once your character reaches a certain high ilvl. Will help people keep alts somewhat current otherwise some alts are gonna fall behind and not get played much. This expansion is really alt friendly but at a certain point it becomes overwhelming trying to keep all the plates spinning.

Wheat the hell are you talking about fun detected? They are not stopping you from killing zekvir 8 times in a row, since you apparently consider that fun. Delves are intended for solo content players. If you are not into that and don’t want to run that, then why do you think you should get the vault slots? Entitled much? I think I should get all M+ 10 vault slots filled because I ran companion versions of dungeons. That’s what’s fun, right? Grow up.

I dont care about this delv or raid at all. What i am considering leaving wow about is that i have 4 lvl 80 chars and every time I get into it, they nerf it. Pally, spriest, dk and feral. All get nerfed after I put enormous time and effort into them.

Spriest did get a buff, but i can not main two classes. I focused on feral, and spriest is no longer natural to play. Not to mention he is crazy behind in gear

Everyone falls for the same thing every expansion - new and awesome features announced -> first three weeks are fun (new content always is) -> people clamor that WoW is finally back -> Blizzard self-implodes -> everyone goes back to pservers and classic until the next expansion where they take the bait all over again.

I've enjoyed TWW, but I have this sinking feeling I'm almost done with the content. After so many raid cycles, I have zero interest in raiding. Not a PvPer and I'm not really jazzed on M+ either, Delves seemed to fit nicely, but sadly just like you after a few weeks I think I've rung most of the rewards out of it already. The only carrot is the 616 in the vault and maybe completing the Delver's journey, so running 8 T8s is starting to feel like a chore, kind of like a certain roguelite gameplay back in shadowlands :P

I’ve been trying to complete clearing them all on 11 solo. Keeps me busy. I finished zekvir on ?? And I still need a pile of gear. Maybe I’m slow at progression.

@@needcoffeebrb Eh, that's solo content. Who cares? Take all the time you want for that stuff, but I just want to say that you don't *need* any gear, that's such a weird mentality. If you're not doing anything with it then it's purely in your mind, and you'd be better served just doing anything else in the world IMO. Like... play another game that gives you an experience like... all the Dark Souls games, I don't freaking know. :)

@@Spotnick2 meanwhile heroic dungeons are practically worthless which is kinda a shame. They should up the badge or crest drops or something in those activities to make them worthwhile. I don't mind doing them I just don't see the point if I'm running delves.
