Nik is testing some Elody-Flutes

An impression from the Mollenhauer workshop: A new series of Elody flutes has been finished. Nik Tarasov is testing them and uses for the check of the pick-up (integrated in each of these recorders) a tiny modeling amp: the Ampkit+ iPhone app made by Peavey connected to the HP Link interface. pas terrible comme résultat, je préfère et de loin la flûte à bec traditionnelle, de plus le coût de ces flûtes électriques est égal à celui d'une belle flûte de facteur, sans en avoir la beauté.

I love the sound of many types of flutes but a recorder is not one of them. I like to play an Irish penny whistle and people can dance to it. I like Peruvian pan pipes and people can dance to it, also Indian and Japanese and people can dance to it. This elody thing might play some interesting Mike Oldfield stuff on it. Even Jimmy Hendrix head banging distortions baby how about some cool jazz ? But that thin twee sound on a recorder is going nowhere man it is not cool or funky. For atmospheric sounds the Irish pipes are hard to beat even the Chinese Er Hu. But I don't think this thing can do that. Pity. Shame really

Is this can connect by Bluetooth?

No, it's connect by cable and interface. But you can also play with wireless connect as a guitar.

I would like to know about the app he mentions. I think this is the same that made Hammond with the Melodica.....I see it like an "Electroacoustic" Flute. I played my electroacoustic Melodica (Hammond 44 HP) with Boss pedals effect....it comes to be similar to it, but I think that I could quit pedals effect with that Smartphone app .....Anyone has some ideas?????
