How do you go from color to color so fast? I always have trouble fading mine back to blonde and end up having to wait 4-5 months till it's mostly blonde again.

Have you tried using head and shoulders shampoo? It's really good for fading colors.

It's all the conditioner she mixes with the color. It weakens the pigment.

My hair is bleached white blonde, much lighter than hers, and I use less dye than she does in this mixed with more conditioner. It lasts weeks, and doesn't fade much in the first few weeks. Even when I'm trying to fade it (I've even washed my hair with dish liquid soap) it doesn't fade as fast.

Since your hair is lighter than hers, it's probably a lot more porous, so it absorbs more pigment. You probably need a decently large trim. And you shouldn't lighten it passed a pale yellow, anyways. Anything above a pale yellow without a toner is over-processed. Trust me, I've been there and done that.

My hair is very healthy, thank you. I get regular trims and I don't use heat on my hair. I don't have split ends. My hair lightens quickly and easily to pretty much white, all I do is tone and dye it with extremely diluted veggie dyes. I use probably a dime size of dye with probably 3 cups of conditioner. All I was asking was how she gets color out so fast, mine linger for months.

Just a suggestion, but developer works better than conditioner in giving you a more even colour and will help the colour come out a bit better when applied onto the hair

Hello Brittany :) I've recently been obsessed with bright colored hair and have made the jump to bleaching my hair! Yay! :) The first time I bleached it, I did not have enough bleach -.- ugh.... I over looked rule #1.. take it from me peeps, buy MORE than enough products needed. So it came out patchy.. my natural dark brown hair peeked through a lot all around. After that i immediately dyed my hair.. purple on top half teal on bottom. I also used ion color brilliance brights :) When can I redo this bleaching? I want to re bleach to enhance my colors. I would just like to know your opinion on when this can be done again. My hairs not thick, not too fine either.. medium i suppose.

there's this cool tip i learned from the first time i dyed my hair (at a salon) and my hairdresser told me that if you apply it to your roots last, about fifteen minutes before you wash it, then the color will be much more even. if not, then the color by the top will be brighter and last longer because of the heat from you scalp, and heat processes dye more, so i just thought it'd be cool to share since you apply the dye by the roots first :)

that's only for bleach. with semi permanent funky color dyes you MUST go from root to tip.
