I so appreciate how you scrape your mixing bowl clean. I can’t stand it when folks leave a 1/4 of the batter or dough behind! Drives me nuts. I was told they call these Blondies cuz the texture still resembles a brownie, despite the lack of chocolate/cocoa powder in the batter. I’ve been looking for a good, buttery, basic Blondie recipe! I’m gonna make this recipe next week! Thank you again Stephanie ❤️

Stephanie, I don’t know how you do it. Every single recipe that I have tried of yours comes out GREAT! No joke. This one is no exception. I followed your recipe exactly and these; just like your apple pie, the individual cheese cakes and so many more turned out delicious. Thank you. I’ve even started to weigh out my ingredients because of you. No more cups and teaspoons. I look forward to Thursday’s. 😉

I love your recipes! I made the Hot Cross Buns for Good Friday and my husband LOVE them. He complimented me on a job well done, but all the credit belong to you. The only thing I did different was I added a 1/2 cup of granulated sugar instead of 1/4 cup brown sugar. The buns taste amazing. I am about to try the blondies next! Thank you Joy of Baking.

I’ve always made a blondies recipe that was made in a 9 x 13 pan. Made this recipe the other day. Not only were they delicious but I love that it’s a smaller batch. Thanks again for a fantastic recipe.

Great recipe, thank you. I make something similar with (rinsed candied cherries) toasted almonds, and almond extract just to change it up. Now you have me thinking of adding chocolate chips to create a faux black forest cake blondie. Definitely switching to the brown sugar from now on. Thank you again for the creative recipe and for Rick's time spent editing and uploading.

These look so good! As per your recommendation, I finally bought a kitchen scale last week, and made your brownies and banana muffins with the white chocolate chips, and they came out so much better with weighing the ingredients compared to just measuring them! I love it!

I know you don’t need my opinion on the side issue of why these are called Blond Brownies but I had to avoid chocolate for a few years so I fell back on the Blonde Brownies as a substitute for our wonderful chocolate Brownies and learned to love them. They had the same chewy inside, crispy outside texture and even looked like my chocolate Brownies when I was low on chocolate and had use less than required. To me they were Brownies without the chocolate. Thank you for this mouth watering recipe tutorial!!

Hi, I’m loving your KZbin cooking classes. I've been cooking for 45 years. I've always loved to cook but the last year I've become tired and lazy and just heading for a quick unhealthy snack. Watching your show has light the flame again. Thank you. Following an intestine operation several years ago, I have become severely intolerant to oats... No other serial bothers me just oats. I used to love musilie/granola. I can't find any commercial breakfast serials here in Australia that are oat-free. Do you have any recipes that would suit or could be altered to suit my condition? Thanks again.

I’ve made your bloodies and never had a problem. However the past few times it has not been coming out gooey inside like before and more like cake. I’ve only left it in oven maybe 23 minutes. Hi Stephnie is the baking powder needed as it is a type of brownie??
@joyofbaking4 жыл бұрын
Because there is brown sugar in this recipe, you use baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) instead of baking powder.

I can’t have much of choc so can I add anything else besides the pecan and I don’t like the smell of baking soda 🥤 not sure why I just bought a new one but I can smell it in baking goods ! Can I skip it?🙏

If you leave out the baking soda, the Blondies won't rise. You can use other nuts besides the pecans, or you could just leave them out.

I use Chia seed gel which you make with Chia seeds and water. It is about 1/2 tablespoon Chia seeds mixed with 3-4 tablespoons water for each egg. Look it up on-line.
