A few points about Shrapnel weapons to a fellow Warsmith: You can't upgrade vehicle twin-linked bolters to Shrapnel. When you upgrade unit's weapons to Shrapnel you have to upgrade ALL it's weapons of the same type, so all bolters if you wish to upgrade bolters, and/or all pistols, etc. So you can't have Tac squad with 9 Shrapnel bolters and 1 Shrapnel pistol. But on the flip side Tactical's Shrapnel pistols get extra shots from Fury of Olympia!

I kinda like line being less common. It makes people take "core" troop units and not just min troops to max killy things. I do think breachers are abit too costly/ need heart of the legion tho and an argument for line on vets and support units if anything was to be upgraded to line

Ye it’s them that I miss it on really (like heavy nooooo way, but a vet squad being unable to hold an obj, tactical support or even a scout squad when recons can I find odd)

We've been playing a modified HH1 as our base game and the change back to power weapons (ap3 or better) ignoring armour saves was such a nice change. Allows for wider list building than terminator spam, power axes feel a bit weaker although they're still perfectly fine.

@@BearfootMiniatures yeah exactly, the other big one was the removal of the explodes results on vehicles, we kept hull points in but removed the ability for vehicles to be one shot. Explodes is now something akin to the 8th edition rules where it explodes on a 6. You have to upgrade all pistols in the squad to Shrapnel, you can't only upgrade the sergeant

Great battle report as always. The pinning rule is wrong though. It is once per weapon but it also clarifies "a unit can be called upon to make multiple pinning tests in a single turn, but only once for each unit shooting at them." So a pistol and a Bolter shooting from the same unit can only force a single test.

@BearfootMiniatures still plenty around.my first few games of HH were against fists. 2x3 boxys with double twin autos 2x3 boxys w/ double twin las or double twin multimelts and then 1x contemptor with fist + las lr multi melta lol

On IW turn 4 did you simply forget to shoot at the Dawnbreakers with the Rhino and nearest tac marines or did I miss something? Also kinda weird that you played your moves to shoot at them with the Predator so that he couldnt shoot with all weapons, made me wonder did you do that on purpose to make the game more interesting :D
