It is very essential for your blood to clot at the optimum time to prevent the loss. clotting time is a minimum time required for blood to form a clot. the clotting time of blood has to be determined or examine to find out the exact time at which your blood gets a clot. it may be determined by mainly 02 methods-
1- Capillary tube method
2- Slide method
Capillary method of blood clotting time-
1- Sterilize the finger with ethanol for blood clotting time determination
2- Prick the finger with pricker pen and place this blood into capillary for blood clotting time determination

What about the coagulation time is in-between 3 minutes (180 seconds), but... What about the capillary tip opening? Does this experiment change In a narrower space like the tip of a needle, where regarding my experience the syrenge gets plugged almost immediately. Thanks in advance. And I think the Gloves are not needed, just the cleaning of all the elements just because the experiment is with yourself.

@solutionpharmacy
@solutionpharmacy 7 жыл бұрын
+Kajal Verma Here you asked that is your clotting time is ok ? So it depends on your medication history as you said you gone through heart operation ( Not clear for which purpose and what medication you have been given) i think u have used some of anticoagulent or blood thinning agent. If it is true than you need not to worry about it because those drug simply increase the clotting time. So as per my opinion your clotting is some how in range. * Its just personal view please consult dr. for further information.

Daily Tips Media dear sir. I know that much. I have already replied in comment box. The patient (Demo) and the operater (Teacher= Me) is same. I am doing this with myself and no one touched any other (Have notbyou notice in video) and 2nd point - capillary method is done by self and this is not possible to breck the capillary (Glass) with gloves. Hope this will clear your doubt.

No not at all. This is capillary of 1 to 2 micro size this cant cut the finger and most importantly at that time blood will already clotted.

@@solutionpharmacy check this "Glass Capillary Tubes: Joint Safety Alert about Potential Risks", is designed to inform readers of the potential hazards associated with these devices. An OSHA News Release will be published to notify the public of the safety advisory. FDA and NIOSH will also be disseminating the advisory to the public through their respective agency procedures. Safer alternatives to conventional glass capillary tubes are described in this advisory. Breakage of glass capillary tubes during use may result in a penetrating wound and blood inoculation to the user. With such an injury comes a risk of acquiring a bloodborne pathogen infection, such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B, and hepatitis C. Surveillance studies of health care workers indicate that hundreds of these exposures occur, sometimes requiring expensive and lengthy treatment as well as tremendous mental anguish for injured workers.
