M. L. Wang is a brilliant writer. "Blood Over Bright Haven" was something out of her comfort zone, but I think she did a great job. My favorite from her is "The Sword of Kaigen".

Agreed. Would love a series from her. She keeps teasing with these stand-alones and I want more!

Gonna have to skip the spoiler talk on this one. I want to give it a read sometime! I gotta say, this is the perfect content to listen to in the background at work. Relaxed conversation about good books.

Understandable! It's well-worth the read. And thank you for listening! If you want, give us some books recommendations you'd like us to cover.

@@ItsLitBookReviews I'm not sure if you guys have read these already but here are some of my favorites in no particular order. It would be cool to hear your thoughts on these! - The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch - Beartown by Fredrik Backman - Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett - The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - Time Salvager by Wesley Chu - The Dresden Files (I'm only on book 3 but they're short and I hear they get really good!) - Jade City by Fonda Lee You've already been covering Sanderson or else he'd be all over this list.

We have not read any of these! Other than Jade City, which only Andrew has read (but it is one of his all-time favorite series). Planning to read LoLL in 2024 though! Thanks for the other recs, we'll add them to the list.
