Love can Bloom lesss gooo This is based on a popular fanfic of 40k called "Love can Bloom" in wich LIIVI (52.6) and an Eldar Farseer (Taldeer) fall in love after he saves her. It's really interesting and the couple is probably the oldest Eldar x Human ship in the Warhammer 40k community.

Faction: Officio Assassinorum, Vindicare Temple. Imperial assassins are the elite killers of the Imperium, able to kill even space marines with relative ease. The different assassin temples each specialize in a different skillset, with only the high Lords of Terra (specifically the Master of Assassins) or the God Emperor of Man being the only ones actually able to truly give them an order. Everyone else has to make requests, even the agents of the Emperor's Most Holy Inquisition. Assassinorum Agents have been enlisted occasionally to perform alongside every imperial force, from the lowly Imperial Guard of the Astra Militarum to the Emperor's Personal Bodyguards within the Adeptus Custodes, even having participated in a few bloodgames with the Custodes themselves to fortify the Imperial Palace. While most often working alone, special occasions may warrant the deployment of an Execution Squad/Team, which is a collection of as few as two and as many as eight assassins for a single mission or target. The largest execution team deployment on record was I believe some 20 or so assassins in an attempt to kill the Arch-Traitor Horus Lupercal. While the assassins are technically a small group when measured next to other imperial organizations, their value and abilities means the one in charge of the temples, the Master of Assassins, has his own seat within the Senatorum Imperialis as a High Lord of Terra.

I think you should react to PancreasNoWork's do or don't series. He basically gives a short summary of the warhammer faction's lore and then gives reasons why you might want or not want to pick them. His video on why Ogres are the best warhammer race to live as is also very good.

This is an imperial assassin, emotions are beneath him. He is worth a whole army and can literary put a whole planet on its knees, then come back to HQ and his memory will be erased so he won't remember anything the next time he is deployed in a different planet. That is why its not cannon.

The thing is, him being mind controlled is very possible. Eldar are potent psykers in their own rights, and I'm pretty sure that was a Farseer... who is among their best. They /train/ to be incredibly strong psykers. It's extremely likely she was weak in body... but her mind was able to reach out for help. This is reinforced by the fact that we could hear him in her thoughts, seemingly.

Ahhh, those Necron units are Flayed ones, those are one of many and the most dangerous unit. They usually are place under the ground and will be call upon from the ground just like that. Their claws are so sharp it could swarm a tank and turn it into pile of metal in a short moment. These Necron units are suffering from a dangerous virus that would cause them to turn feral and hunger for flesh as it's so bad that they have insatiable hunger for flesh, but since they can't eat they would just rips their victim into pieces and place what's left of them on their metallic body. Other Necron actually scared of them cause they could infect other Necrons as well.

In this instance this is very much offbrand; while a trooper could be trained all his life in the guard to come to realize that aeldar aren't all that much different other than having emotions turned up to 11 all the time, this would not be happening with a Vindicare. A lot folks assume this is some metal gear style stuff with the Schola Assassinorum... and not even kind of. Vindicare are not "Highly Trained Dog of War, humbled and wearied by a world of carnage they realize cannot control" or some other genre trope like that. Vindicare are the LEAST and most straightforwardly trained of Temple's projects and they are so far beyond what was once human that a *Space Marine* would have trouble relating to them or recognizing them as human anymore. Vindicare are trained both mentally and physically from the age of about 6 to kill without question or ANY kind of mental gymnastics. They have to make their first kill in the temple before they are allowed to EAT for the first time at the school. They are then subjected for DECADES to further training, integration and utterly invasive cybernetic enhancement, including >the removal of the section of the brain where morality is formed and maintained

I enjoyed this! Thanks for introducing it to me. Strange to see something in 40k not end with utter carnage. And while I am a romantic, or, "fool..." as wisdom has shown me, I'd bet a hundred of any currency that isn't an e-coin that the Vindicare would have pulled the trigger the moment his scope was steady. Open field, no reinforcements, I mean, come on. Its literally the only thing he does other than eat, sleep, shit and shower. And I didn't include: "put the assassin suit back on in the morning" just because I'd also bet he showers in the assassin suit. I'm not usually this crass, but, if he fails at wooing her for at least a little bit, I'm pretty certain that contextually, we can all agree it was massively stupid to risk becoming a human doorknob for the Imperium for the CHANCE of smooching some elf-face. And yes, human skulls with the brains inside them, still alive, are used as doorknobs and/or scanners on space-faring vessels and bunkers, no A.I., remember? Can't have permitted access identification without some kind of intelligence. Man the Imperium f***ing sucks lol, but, its team human so, whatever. Anyway, nice little potential romance fan-fiction, I pray for mercy regarding the Vindicare assassin x)

It is kind of weird for a number of reasons. First is the shooter, a Vindicare assassin, is an overtrained sharpshooter. So he should be a good mile away. He's also a professional and if the target was the Farseer, he'll do the mission period. Only reason he would bother with the flayed ones is because he's in that mind set of a kill doesn't count unless it's his bullet. One of those things where their very identity is all wrapped up into pride in their jobs. To the point where killing the target is priority #1. Not shooting her is kind of going against decades of training. Second, range is kind of a counter to mind control. Third thing is Eldar are like the shadiest people around. Thinking they are on your side because they helped you or you helped them out just isn't how Eldar operate. On the other hand, humans are taught to view them as repugnant. They also in lore tend to look weird enough they do feel off. Like they hit that uncanny valley feeling where they are just close enough to feel wrong. Also I guess a small thing to me, I believe in the rule of cool but while I'm criticizing, you can't 1 hand an Exitus Rifle like that. The guns he's using are pretty much anti-material weapons and they are noted to have horrendous kick and be on the heavy side. Like one story an assassin used one to put a round through an Imperial Knights cockpit from over 2 miles away. This is all very nitpicky, like I said, rule of cool. Really 40K is based off of nothing but the rule of cool. It's why giant blue armored people can run across a warzone and not get vaporized by the nearest lascannon. So if you want to have an assassin marry some space elf while wielding 2 giant sniper rifles and has an ork best friend named Bob go for it. But even on it being a fan animation, there are counterpoints on lore accuracy. Like on book I just got through was about a Kasrkin soldier that had a similar situation (Kasrkin troops are like the special forces of the Cadian army so think navy seals in space I guess is a good example). *Spoiler* for the book Kasrkin: . . . . . . . . . . . So the main character Captian Obeysekera was put into this situation where he was trapped in a Necron tomb hunted by Flayed Ones like you see here. He and his men allied with a bunch of Kroot to make his escape (bird-like cannibal aliens) and he ended up getting a mutual respect for the Kroot leader. Key difference there was that respect wasn't far enough to sacrifice the mission for and it never evolved into friendship. But it did have that moment where both sides had a chance to kill the other but decided on killing the Flayed Ones instead. But really those things wear the skins of the things they kill. Nobody likes seeing their buddies turned into a raincoat. So all in all it's in that possible but not likely category and again it's 40K you can really do what you want with it.
