How to Understand Natural Light for Indoor Plants // Bright light vs bright indirect vs low light

Understanding Natural Light is confusing when it comes to houseplants. The saddest thing that could happen to a plant parent is when you pick a plant, you bring it home, and it wilts and slowly dies because you don't understand the light it needs! Either the plant needs bright light and you accidentally put it in lower light (I've totally done this) or maybe you put a low light tolerant plant in a NO light zone. Eek!
It's tough for us sometimes to understand the differences and figure out what that sweet spot is lighting-wise for our plants to grow. Most of the time, it’s because we're probably overestimating the amount of light that you have inside for your house plants.
But I'm going to break down exactly how you can measure your natural indoor light and then pick the right plants to match your indoor environment so you can grow happy plants and grow more joy alongside them!
