The alternate commanders in this set feel a lot more of their own build-around cards than normal alternate commander we've gotten before. Mr Foxglove and Arthur especially.

I am building around Wildsear, Scouring Maw (Gruul Wolf that gives Cascade to your enchantments) So far, the list is a Gruul Enchantress deck that has creatures that either lower the cost of the enchantment or draws a card when I cast an enchantment. I did implement a sub-theme with all of the cards that rewards you for casting spells from exile (cascade) or drawing your second card (also casecade).

Sunbird's Invocation says X or less, so Jerry 100% could have chosen Spine of Ish Sah, it's not cascade

I know it is just a dream, and the crew have likely recorded all the Bloomburrow they are likely to play, but I would love to see a series of games in which everyone played Tribal Decks for each of the different animal folk from this set. I just really want to see who wins in a battle between Bunnies, Mice, Bats, and Frogs.... And see how well realized the themes that the various races were designed with were realized.

You know, I like the Arthur returns at end of combat so you can cast the creature during your second main phase if you like. When you're hitting stuff like Spirited Companion and Aether Channeler that's pretty good!

Quick rules question for the spikes (because I’m genuinely unsure) - when Garruk’s Uprising ETB’d from Cascade, would that also not have triggered cascade because it’s an enchantment?

If you're asking about Wildsear's ability, it specifically calls out "cast from hand." Spells cast as a result of Cascade are cast from Exile, so they don't gain Cascade from Wildsear.

i think he was dead anyway in the end but i feel like Jerry's last turn would have been way stronger if he just didn't sac the commander lol. combine that with bumping the alchemists the last tier he could have had more control. not a big deal obviously, disagreements/arguable misplays are natural and i sure make plenty, but i have particularly seen people undervalue leveling the talents/classes in these showcases, especially alchemists.
