I started listening to Joan Baez when I was a fairly young teen...I'm 70 now. She was my first musical love and that love has never diminished. Thank you, Joan, for still being a beautiful light!!

Joan, I well remember when you had coal black hair and I had hair. I started listening to you 57 years ago. I even rolled a car once while trying to retrieve one of your 8 track tapes that I dropped on the floor. And that was when 8 tracks were new to the scene. Like the great man said, the times they are a changin’. We grow older, as it should be, with no great desire to relive our youth save the loved ones we lost along the way.

Joan-- Is a true class act. Was first introduced your music by a much older friend when I was in H.S.. Yes I remember that it was a cassette recording of your concert. Heard " What have they done to the rain", "Blessed are", " Donna Donna" etc. Years later I googled and dug for your music on KZbin. Learned the song "Diamonds and Rust" Wow...such a deeply emotional and moving song, original and pure that no other versions of it compared to. My pleasure to see you on here Joan. großen Dank an diese einmalige Künstlerin. Dank an Dich persönlich, an die Millionen von Menschen, die in den sechziger und siebziger Jahre auf die Straße gegangen sind und gegen den Vietnamkrieg demonstriert haben. Euch habe ich es zu verdanken, dass ich einen herzensguten Mensch in Vietnam kennenlernen und hier in Deutschland heiraten durfte. Wenn der Krieg nicht beendet worden wäre, gäbe es diesen Menschen nicht.
