I urge everyone to take action as soon as you notice great hair fall. For me it started a couple years ago and everyone told me I was exaggerating (because I have thick thick long hair) but now I’m at a stage where even brushing my hair hurts my scalp, went to the dermatologist and I have female pattern baldness… I’m on supplements and serums. Don’t ask for other people’s opinion if you feel something is not right. Please get it checked as it’s a very overwhelming situation and the earlier you “catch it”, the more hair you get to keep on your head 😞

@@Wanderer-b3e if shorter will help you commit to hair care, go for it!. But I really cannot imagine myself with shorter hair so I prefer to keep it long. I’ve really improved my hair with the videos in this channel. I find it easier now that I have an established routine (shampoo, conditioner, leave in and oil) that alone has reeeeally helped with the looks and feel of my hair but that will not help hair thinning so just make sure to get that checked (your vitamins, hormones and all).

Yep, I definitely lost a lot of hair after virus 19, I was practically bald. Then, earlier this year, after it grew back, I lost some of that new growth thanks to sinus surgery. But after going through so much, I just appreciate that I'm alive and my hair is almost back to normal.

Yes I feel you. I lost more than half of my hair last year a few months after I was hospitalized for a pulmonary embolism and infarction. My doctors said it wasn't the virus but the blood thinner Eliquis I had to take for 6 months that made my hair fall out. Being that sick was terrifying, losing my hair messed with my emotional health. My hair was more important than I thought, I won't take it for granted again.

Just wanted to drop a comment on how I experienced hair shedding if it can help anyone; in my case it was mental health issues. Consequently, my body deteriorated into a neglected state -- that's when I started to see/feel severe hair loss on top of other bad symptoms. At the time I had thick, long hair that was about waist-length, and every shower or brushing almost always clogged up the drain. I have been feeling better and decided to cut my hair short to try and revive it from scratch (started following tips and guidelines from this channel!), then I adjusted my lifestyle in general by incorporating some light exercises and just eating balanced, full meals instead of snacking. While I can't say I have completely recovered, I did notice that the hair loss has reduced by a significant amount. Take care of yourselves, wishing everyone the lively, bouncy hair y'all deserve ❤

Hair fall control tips that work for me: • Stick to a mild hair shampoo for your hair like liitleextraaa cocoonian shampoo. • Start with a pre-wash using a natural hair rinse green tea rinse. • Section the hair in sections and cleanse section by section: beginning with the scalp, followed by the middle, and lastly the length. • Foam up your shampoo generously and scrub with your fingers the shampoo into the scalp and hair and while rinsing out of hair. • Massage warm Coocoonion oil and massage scalp and tie hair in a protective hairstyle.

Also, instead of a cap, a tighter fitting bonnet is another thing that made a noticeable difference for me, less area for your hair to move around, and the style I go to bed with, is what I wake up with, with a slouchy bonnet.

The aging information is so true! I had the most amazing hair most of my life up until my mid 30's. Long luscious voluminous curly hair. I only had to "scrunch and go" and it looked like I spent hours on it. Now in my mid 40's it's half as thick, flat and limp, ponytail holders slide right out and curls won't hold. I never had to use any tools and now I'm on a mission to reclaim beautiful hair so I just ordered some professional products and my first ever curling iron 😂. Your videos are great! Informative and entertaining!

@@emilygarcia6202 Hi! Sure 😊 I basically use his trinity hair routine (shampoo-conditioner + leave-in spray conditioner + oil for the ends) with some products he recommends in the videos or some equivalent. It really helps with the dryness, especially for my very dry curly hair. I try to not wash it too often, maybe twice a week. All that's mostly to help prevent the breakage that damaged my hair a lot. (Something maybe not so obvious also is that during winter I started tucking my hair in my coat of scarf to protect it from the harsh weather since i moved to a very cold country and that's about when my hair started to get damaged, idk if it's for real but i feel like it makes a difference) I also try to eat better and more proteins (especially eggs), and try to have good sleep, and most importantly worked on reducing my stress levels, it takes time and I'm not always there but it's work in progress! Hope this helps a little!! 🥰

I lost a lot of hair after getting covid, and had no idea why at the time. I also was afraid it was permanent and was really crushed. After five months, it stopped, and I did experience a lot of breakage. It was around that time I discovered your videos. I followed your recommendations and now my hair is back to full strength and healthier than ever. I just hung on as best I could and got a shorter haircut right when my hair was recovering. One benefit I gained is that my hair is now wavy and can hold a curl. Before, it was stick straight and wouldn't even hold a wave and I had absolutely no volume. I'm so much happier with my hair now and I learn so much from your videos. Can't thank you enough for your honesty, humor, and providing a great public service!

Same! I lost what feels like at least 1/3 of my hair after I recovered. It just kept shedding and was a nightmare. After so much trial and error, what has regrown my hair best is Armra colostrum, Folexin, Viviscal Pro supplements. I also use SheaMoisture Mango & Carrot kids shampoo and conditioner as well as the raw shea, chamomile, and Aryan oil baby leave in conditioner. My hair is so fine it gets weighed down super easily, but I tend to get super oily at the roots, and this combination has softened my ends and kept my scalp nice and clean. I also invested in a Mason Pearson brush. It’s been about a year and a few months into my hair recovery journey and I wish everyone luck!

Physical trauma!! I had my third baby 2 years ago and shortly after I severely pulled a back muscle picking up the car seat. I spent a whole year with back to back to back muscle spasms that would knock me on the floor for a week straight. I started seeing a chiropractor and that helped but I was still in occupational pain. I started back at the gym about 3 months ago and my back has gotten stronger. The discomfort I was feeling every day has gone away and I finally feel like my body is healthy again. Now I just need a new brush. I was told to use a wet comb in the shower and that’s what I’ve been doing. 😬
@LIZA_BOBO

@@seadragon1456 Im glad you’re starting to feel better👍 Instead of using a wet-comb in the shower,I would recommend just using your fingers. That way you will feel it before you snap a hair so you can avoid it by carefully detangle with your fingers, when using a wet-comb you will feel it when the hair breaks(and then it is to late🤷🏻‍♀️)I always use my fingers to detangle and also to ‘brush’ my hair if needed. When I finger-brush my hair,I always use a little bit of lightweight oil(jojoba, avocado, arganoil, grapeseed)on my hands to distribute some nurturing oils through my hair at the same time. Just thought I’d share some tips with you since I’ve also tried wet-combing and brushing(with not very satisfying results) Take good care of yourself and be safe out there❤️

Spray your scalp thoroughly and let it sit all day and/or let it dry and sleep with it on your scalp. I lost a lot of hair from covit 12/2021 and again with my most recent sons heart attack at 29 has stressed me to the max. I now have a lot of baby hairs coming in. When I woke, I couldn’t walk or talk. 2 further surgeries and a boatload of hard therapies and I was back to normalish. My huge surgery bald spot was growing back wonderfully when 2 mos after the last surgery, all the other hair started falling out. It was exactly as you described. My body said yeah we don’t need that to survive so bye! It just takes a while to shrivel up and fall out. I had it cut shorter to reduce the weight, babied it and it grew back really well. Last summer, I started Keto, had the biggest heartbreak ever when I suddenly lost my precious brother way too early in life days later, then got COVID two weeks later. About 3 months after all this, I started losing tons of hair. I tried not to stress though. C’est la vie, right? 🤷🏻‍♀️ This lasted about one month. I lost maybe 1/3rd of my hair (and it wasn’t thick to begin with!). I also noticed it was dryer & more frizzy than normal. I did start taking a hair supplement (with good ingredients-nothing synthetic), and I’m not sure if that’s what was responsible for stopping the loss or if it would have stopped on its own anyway. But anyway, now I have tons of 2-4 length long hair all over my head. These short hairs have a lot more body, so sometimes my hair looks a little funky. 🤪 My hair only grows about 1/2 inch a month, so it’ll take a long while for it to grow out again. I’m keeping it just below shoulder length. I curl my hair with fairly small curls (1”), and this makes it look nice and full even though it’s thin. I usually just sleep in 2-3, 1” sponge rollers at night, which makes it so easy and low-maintenance. I hope all of you losing hair get it back soon! 💖

I was diagnosed with lichen Plano pilaris during lockdown. Probably from stress. No cure. I’m thankful I started with a thick head of hair. I’ve lost about 1/3. Besides special shampoo I started using a laser cap every night. After two years I am in remission, inflammation and itching is minimal and I’ve even seen a bit of new hair growth which wasn’t supposed to be possible. Thank you for this video. I was afraid to massage my scalp thinking I’d cause more hair fall out, but now I’ll try that. I see a dermatologist who specializes in hair loss.

I too had hair loss because of it, which is traumatic for me as my hair was just getting healthy again from doing chemo treatments for lung cancer. I was able to not loose all my hair…I only washed 1 per month, I would spray roots with refreshing washes in between. I think the no washing or brushing helped with pulling hair. When my levels returned normal I had a good cut then went into the repair mode with oleplex….well it felt good until my hair started falling out for the year until I stopped. Thank goodness I figured it out! Shame on them!

My hair loss is due to stress. Major stress...major hair loss. I get bald spots. Usually my hair grows back fine, but a couple of years ago, I went through major stress and lost a lot of hair. Bald spot on the top of the back of my head, little bit in the front. My concern is that it has grown back completely different hair type. I have frizzy nappy hair growing in. I have always had curly hair, but it was nice to the touch. Now in that one spot, you can visibly see and feel the difference. Funny part is the front of head, my hair grew in straight. So I have 3 different hair types on my one head. First time this has happened. I am over 60 and do have thick hair. Even my hair stylist has no idea what to do with my hair.

I have been washing my hair like this for a couple years now, gentle massage with my fingertips, all over, but as of the last 2 months I'd say, I'm losing an abnormal for me amount of hair in the shower D: When ever I (gently) squeeze my hair and run my hand from top to bottom of my hair while washing out shampoo and conditioner, SO many hairs are just coming out every time, and it's definitely not normal for me. And when I brush my hair too. I am SUUUPER stressed too, like badly, so I'm sure that doesn't help, but unfortunately, I am not at the point that I can really change that too much ): So I hope that doesn't cause permanent hair loss......

I don't know how this is possible, but my mom's hair grew substantially during perimenopause and to this day, has longer, thicker hair than I've ever had, and she has less gray than me to boot. I'm 43 and I color mine now because of the amount of gray (at least 75% of my hair has turned white). She is in her late 60s and her hair is past her rear end (she wears it up for practical reasons), and she does not do any of the right things. She uses cheap shampoo plus conditioner, no masks, no oil, no leave-in conditioner, and I'm always left here thinking why the heck couldn't I have gotten her hair? I've been working on improving my hair, and I see progress, but it's slow. Is it also possible that my hair just has a faster turnover rate, so it doesn't grow past my bra strap? It's obvious my hair grows at a normal rate due to the need for root coverage, but man, I don't get how her hair can be as nice as it is with basically no effort. I grew up doing the same sort of hair treatment as her, and my hair did not benefit, I definitely need to follow recommendations to stave off the dryness and damage. I think more than just a bit more length in total, I would most like for my hair not to be so thin at the bottom. So, my hair goes slightly past my bra strap, but it's a lot thinner there, and most of my hair stops a few inches before that.

This is a very useful video, all the advice is right on point. Most hair loss in women is actually multifactorial… meaning there is more than one cause, it requires a LOT of detective work. Very frustrating. I’ve been dealing on and off with hair loss after having my youngest child; I developed hypothyroidism and I also had iron deficiency I didn’t realize was so bad… it had started with a miscarriage then I got pregnant again right away after, my iron was already low from hemorrhaging then the new baby took up all the reserves I had. I ended up needing iron infusions and WOW. I had little baby hairs pop up all over my head 3 months after the infusions! Hair needs iron to grow; if you don’t have enough, your body will divert what you have to your organs first and your hair ends up getting kicked off the priority list. My Dr says that ferritin (iron storage) levels need to be at least 60-80 for hair to grow. It’s a simple blood test. Please see a Dr right away if you have hair loss and demand the necessary testing, just like Chris said in this video. Don’t wait another day.

My daughter, who had a super thick head of curly hair, gradually lost a lot of hair in her teens. When she got her hair cut by our regular hair dresser she brought it to my attention. It had been around six months since she had seen her. Our family Dr tested her for low thyroid as well as autoimmune antibodies. After seeing a rheumatologist for more tests she ended up having lupus. (Sadly like her mom. What are the odds?) She is now actually off meds and in a remission state. Her hair is healthy but no longer requires those extra large ponytail ties. The majority of hair loss is not something like lupus, but you still need to talk to your Dr about it.

Thank you for your videos Chris, you have helped my hair and scalp so much🙌just want to add another reason for hair loss, the reason that caused my hair loss was bc I was using Shea moisture shampoo and conditioner bc as I have thick curly hair I thought it would be good for me, but omg it traumatised me, it made my scalp so itchy that clumps of my hair would fall out as well as chunks of yellow flakes, but for some reason I kept on using it for months, as soon as I stopped using these products my scalp was less irritated, and while my scalp is still itchy now, nowhere near as much hair comes out as it used to do and I no longer have yellow flakes, I have white dry skin that falls out that is visible when I itch my scalp but it’s so small and doesn’t stick to my actual scalp like it used to, so I think using the wrong products for your scalp also plays a huge role in hair loss for me, the left side of my hair is definitely still noticeably thinner compared to the right side, like when I lift the left side of my hair up it looks balder underneath compared to my right side and it’s been a few years since I stopped those products, but it definitely doesn’t look as bald as it used to do.
