Blue Pea Flower Coconut Agar agar Jelly 蓝豌豆花椰奶燕菜糕果冻

Easy simple to make agar-agar recipe. The flower shape moulds do make this jelly look very dainty and pretty. Recommend to use fresh coconut milk if possible.
Ingredients 材料:
200 ml/grams water, room temperature 200 毫升/克 室温水
40 grams caster sugar 40 克 细砂糖
4 grams agar-agar powder 4 克 菜燕粉
2 pandan leaves 2 片 班兰叶
200 ml/grams coconut milk 200 毫升/克 椰奶
1/8 teaspoon salt 1/8 茶匙盐
Colouring 颜色:
5 grams dried blue pea flowers 5 克 干蓝豆花
50 ml hot water 50 毫升 开水

I have some blue pea flour powder at home. Should I just play around with it to find the right ratio to substitute for instead of the flowers? Have you ever tried the powder?

Hello 👋 yes I also use powder sometimes. You can dilute 1 teaspoon powder with 30 ml hot water. Then slowly add into the jelly liquid until you get the colour you like.

V pretty! But I’m confused. Your ingredients say you only need 4 g of agar agar powder? How is that enough? There is no mention of instant jelly powder though you include a link for it. Am I missing something?

Hello 👋 sorry for the confusion. Yes 4 grams is enough. Just make sure you use only 50 ml for the clear jelly and leave enough jelly liquid for the coconut layer. No instant jelly powder in this recipe.
