Yes, and even recently (well, a bit more than a year ago, before Covid) I saw Jim at the Horseshoe - he was there to see his son play, but it was a Tuesday and hardly anyone was there, and he was so kind and took time to talk to anyone who spoke to him. People were kind enough to let him watch his son, but between sets people would approach him. I spoke with him for about 5 minutes and he was so kind, fully open and connected, even asked me where I grew up. Solid, salt of the earth guy!

Saw Keeler and Cuddy perform at Folks on the Rocks in Yellowknife a number of years ago. They were awesome. I left a few minutes before their set was over. I was camping on the other side of Long Lake. Late into the evening I heard this song across the lake. It was hauntingly beautiful. The best way I can describe it is if your ever in the lake country and hear a loon call out (not that they sounded like a bunch of loons) its that emotion of longing that it pulls out of you.

Blue Rodeo played at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto about every three weeks when I worked as a waitress there in the 80's. When this song came on, all the waitresses put their trays down and listened to/sang the song. I remember the night they got signed to a record deal. They came back to the bar while we were cleaning up. They didn't look too sure of what they had done and Greg Keelor even said "Now you can buy us like Heinz ketchup". I know plenty of musicians, (me one of them) who never got signed, so I was shocked. But everything turned out fine for them and this song is still a classic. ❤❤❤

It's these kinds of songs, that are the very definition of music. When lyrics made sense... Not like now, where they're 'subliminal', like figure out what they're singing about? We all know this song is about her taking him for granted, and he loves her... She just doesn't put effort it. Simple, eh? Just such a beautiful song, beautiful voice...
