Hello! Would you recommend xFiligree over x-one for regular western style jewelries but has some small engravings/details, combined with thicker stuff? Can you do a video comparing them?

Thank you for comparing to the top of the top and being realistic with the limitations of machines that are available, great information.

Would very much to see more on gaskets please :) Using bathroom silicone works, but it's a pain to clean off after each use lol xD

I see blue cast x one v2 is this the same or not? Trying to get resin that prints well and easy clean up

THis was very informative. I have several issues casting very small things even on wax, but now I understand the difference between expensive and standard equipment for mere mortals like us, and another tips like the temperature issues on both furnace and metal. Your videos are very helpful, I''d have no issue if you just uploaded a new vieo without anything new, just by talking about casting. Thank you so much!!

I wonder if the vertical centrifugal caster would work. It’s great for casting platinum and way more force than a horizontal centrifugal or vacuum casting setup.
@aesemon53924 ай бұрын
Yes, the over/under pressure is not the best for platinum.... but centrifugal systems suffer from turbulence in the alloy during the spin. Platinum is a pain but it's popular in the UK. Been looking to get a machine to do in house plat casting.

Is there a place where I can get these filagree stl's just to test them on my indutherm? Yes I can buy some from CG trader but does bluecast offer them as test files?
@ClearMindJewellery5 ай бұрын
I don’t believe Bluecast has filagree test files although they do have some others.

Do you have a video going through the process of everything you do from start to finish after the 3d print is made? I have a general understanding but dont understand specifics. For example idk how id remove the sprus without imperfection and i understand the pouring, heating and casting process is delicate depending on the metal but dont understand how or why
@ClearMindJewellery Жыл бұрын
We have several videos taking about decisions and techniques in each part of the process. So far the closest thing we have done to an overview video of the entire process is a project video or the Bluecast tutorial we did for Prusa Research that they have on their channel. kzbin.info/aero/PLJ5braxcEk8xc9fBVIEw3g0p7k9zIfUnR&feature=shared

Have you got around to testing the x one V2 ? Any noticeable difference? I have seen you review one x one but have you tested the x one V2?

Bluecast has some samples on the way.

Hii sir thanks for the video, it really helps a lot , just a question can we use v2 (x filigree) for normal models also like we are using for xone resin ? Because the contact points of v2 are finer than the xone so can we use it for all kind of models ?

is there a way to cast the metal only on the actual rings and not on the whole tree? seems like so much work having to recycle all that 'waste'
@ClearMindJewellery Жыл бұрын
Unless you are casting a single ring at a time the tree is needed to funnel the metal where it needs to go. Recycling the metal in a casting studio is minimal effort as (unless its heavily alloyed with a metal like zinc, gold, etc and might need refinement) you can just put 50% used materials in your next cast. Literally just, cut, clean, and repeat and put in a little new/refined metal each time.
