No doubt that TSS is superior, but it does come at a considerable cost!

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA great video, but it really is comparing two completely different things. With everything else being equal, TSS cost considerably more than lead. Oftentimes 3-4 times the amount per shell, but there is no denying the difference in performance.

@butleroutdoors2188 the whole point of the video is literally the cheapest thing when it comes to hunting people think is expensive it’s literally silly
@butleroutdoors21886 ай бұрын
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA that’s absolutely true, it’s very similar to a bow or gun case! Hunters refuse to spend money on something that protects a piece of equipment that is worth hundreds or sometimes thousands of dollars, but in reality, it is an extremely small percentage of the total cost.

I’d love to see a #4 tss load for home defense down side it’d be super expensive

#4’s tss would not be good for home defense… wayyyyyyyy wayyyy to much penetration

4’s tss is not for home defense… that’s insane penetration and in home defense insane penetration is not a good thing lol

Great video. Truly puts into perspective the advantage of TSS across the board in all gauges. Just go ahead and say a 12ga longbeard XR 3” number 4 (236 pellets) is less lethal overall than my kids 410 with 7/8oz of TSS #9’s (316 pellets) 😂 be interesting to see if that 1100fps 410 vs 1200fps 12ga makes a difference much in penetration at 45 yards.

Ill keep cheap lead 4s to they say i got to switch . Same idea to switch to all copper rifle bullets. Yea more pentrashion at higher cost to what lead been doing for years. Eve. Bismuth say the least or steel shoot. Not saying i did buy hevi -shot first game out only ever shot with it was pheasant in squirrel with #5-6 loads bc had long time.
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA6 ай бұрын
Bismuth isn’t worth the price as it doesn’t give any real advantage Tss is worth every penny especially when you breakdown just how little the cost actually is

Aright, you guys are the kings of testing turkey load, but do you have a video comparing different shells (.410, 20GA, 12GA, etc...)? If not, you should put one together because every time I've seen you shoot your single shots, you make me wonder about my 12GA pump life choices! LOL My first gun was a single shot 12GA NEF and I got my first turkey here in New York with one (a nice 21½lb/10" beard tom). I got a Winchester SXP Turkey Hunter with a Carlson's Long Beard XR choke that's brutal on targets right now at 20 & 40. I'm hoping some toms will come by this season. Last season, I was in the Adirondacks hunting deer and about half a dozen of them crept up behind me at 5 yards and I couldn't touch them. Turkey season ended the weekend before, but ironically, it was opening day for Fall Turkey back home where I lived in the Catskills region.
