Love the channel, guys. But to be fair to any broadhead test is the fact that ballistic gel is not living tissue. A sock is not living tissue. An old bone is not living tissue. Your test is flawed. You need a more realistic testing method. 1. First layer a piece of deer hyde or elk hyde or a piece of leather to simulate the first layer more accurately. 2. Second layer, use a tenderloin or some type of thick meat that is several inches thick. 3. Third layer, add your bone. 4. Fourth layer, add more meat/tissue to simulate the inner cavity of the animal to show the actual deployment of the blades, along with the ability to avoid bone, and then penetrate the inside of cavity of the animal. 5. Fifth, you need some type of lubricant to simulate fluid/blood --- I would be willing to bet these broadheads would show a huge cut, blood trail, etc. Using a sock, a bone and then ballistic gel is not realistic at all... its like you turned the animal inside out to test this broadhead; not to mention using materials that do not simulate an animal! I would agree these things are pricy, no argument there. But there are a lot of high level archery hunters that swear by mechanicals. To chop this broadhead up to "junk" is grossly unfair based on this test method. There are other youtubers that have tested this broadhead and graded it as one of the highest quality mechanicals on the market due to several factors, but you all can find those sites at your leisure. Thanks again for the review and overall work...

What you just listed as a proper test is just ridiculous that’s called shooting animals essentially lol This test works with every Broadhead we’ve done so far and we’re over 200 tests so it works to see the performance just this Broadhead performed piss poor and even more so at the $30 a head price point I’m not really influenced by what high level archery hunters or any KZbin channels do as most are paid or sponsored, I let the performance talk and the test walk and this testing style has landed me the best hunting setup in performance I’ve had seen so clearly it works

I watched this video after shooting a buck with the beast 2.3” and not being impressed by the hole or the blood. I suspected the force of the arrow going through flesh kept the blade mostly closed based on the size of the hole. Since the blade was closed in the ballistics gel, that confirmed my suspicion.

Least you harvested the animal so it did do its job , I just don’t have confidence in this head especially when cost is factored in which is absurd We’ve done 200+ Broadhead tests and this is the 3rd mechanical that failed to deploy in the gel the other two worked when we put Jean or another medium in front

Hes a hell of a salesman. I think the heads are$20 a piece, then your passing$20 for the fancy packaging. You know as well as i do that packaging don't look cheap. I get it though. These kids these days buy what they see on the package. It's a marketing point. And it works.. If the average kid walked into the archery shop and seen these in a plain package they would not sell many. I am 47 yrs old. Been bow hunting since i was 12. So I've see archery evolve. From the first compound bow, to today's equipment. That being said. I look for a broadhead that is going to do the best job. With the less amount of complication. These heads look like they will do " ok " defintly way to much money. Because you need atleast 4 heads to put in your quiver. Defintly alot of better options for a fraction of the price.

Broadhead prices have gone through the roof. For a head that you cannot replace the blades on is outrageous. not sure why the industry took advantage of the "supply chain" issues to jack everything up. they need to understand that most hunters are everyday working men/women and hunting is a way of life that we enjoy.

It won’t make a “boom” per se, it would make a small whip crack sound, not audible while the broadhead impacts. Think of it like a supersonic bullet, you’d only hear the “boom” if it’s going directly over your head, even then it’s super quiet I’ll also note, the box says “up to” 940 or whatever mph, that’s including the impact and speed of the bow, I do doubt they’re going that fast though 😂maybe with his amped up 140lb bow or whatever steroid man is shooting

in all fairness- what is suppose to make it great also presents a weakness in your test. IMO, the friction of the bone evading blades entering the gell is too much for the springs. I know it sounds silly but i bet if you shot into an animal you would not have the friction the gell presents. As a test, take some Pam and spray it on the broadhead blades and try again and see if that doesnt help... idk. I also bet any mechaincal blade would get messed up when going thru bone. The sharper the broadhead the finer the edge on a double edge... its going to take some damage. The good was that thing seemed durable, most mechanicals would of had bent blades. And your 100 % correct- a bit over priced.

Early season I go fixed with G5 Montec, later season AFTER the leaves fall and all the shit is out of the way, I go Swhaker. Excellent results with both. I can't help but wonder why you would intentionally blast a arrow into bone? You never aim into bone when hunting, the blades are designed to avoid a rib and such. Also ballistics gel is also far more dense then flesh or organic matter, do gel would be a harder medium to pass through, many others have agreed to that.
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA 3 ай бұрын
Because it’s a test 🤣 it’s not hard to see why Also we understand ballistic gel we’ve done over 200+ Broadhead tests with it over the last 4-5 years… it’s a great medium to view the wound channel and has been proven to be effective testing as we’ve used it for our hunting setups for 4-5 years now This is the first Broadhead that didn’t work in the gel and that includes mechanicals … sevr’s work flawlessly that was what they were trying to go for watch other tests of ours to use as reference and you’d see where our concerns are especially with a $30 a head mechanical Broadhead….
