I make my turns in the road which results in grass being left. Because of the typical amount of vehicles passing by my beautiful yard to check it out, the grass is gone within hours. I also wear shorts and yes I get grass on my lets and boots. My deck is a mulching mower, double cut until clippings are gone. Good video...

13:20 at my company we sometimes ride the scag mower around a couple laps with a blower on our back, and just blow lightly along the top of the grass to fan out those thicker clumps while the mower goes over the grass a second time. Gotta be good with your steering one handed tho lol.

After drying it's a different story.
@freed63432 жыл бұрын
Making sure you are mowing with sharp blades will ensure the best possible manicured look after completing a job and also help "mulch" dispensed clippings if you are not using a bagging mower. Dull blades tend to "break" grass rather than cut it and "dull" the overall look of a lawn the next day because the tip of the grass blade turns brown. Keeping blades sharp makes them last longer as well. Quality landscapers consider daily blade change-outs part of their regular maintenance routine before starting out each morning. A chain hoist and impact wrench with a stack of backup blades make this job much easier and faster each day. All blades can be touched up and balanced on the grinder at the end of the week. When the metal has a "dip" (not straight across) on the business side of the blade, you are waiting too long to sharpen. Of course, always try to stay out of the sand. Sand will destroy your blades quicker than anything I know. A sharp blade is the rule on a 20" walk-behind as well as your 60" Z-machine.

A really annoying thing is not using your legs correctly for the job. Using the snipper and not moving your legs, I see one guy at work stop every 2 steps and swing it around way more than needed. Keeping your legs moving is ideal as the stop swing move method really stuffs up your back, & slows you down.
