That is Awesome Tod. Must have been a hell of a ride to work with so much talent in those days. I can only count on one hand bands that I can call musicians today. A few favorites being Bullet For My Valentine. I love their old School influence. Sevendust. (just wow) Tool. Dream Theater. maybe more than a few. But I remember the days where you would pop in a Cassette and EVERY song was just awesome. Cant really say that anymore.

HEY TOD, I REMEMBER THE DAY YA'LL SHOT THIS VIDEO FOR US BACK IN 93' I BELIEVE IT WAS. AT THE TIME I WAS JOHN'S GT. TECH & PERSONAL ASST. LIVE AND IN STUDIO FROM 1992-94. THIS VIDEO WAS MADE AS A PROMOTIONAL PIECE FOR USE IN JAPAN ONLY AT THAT TIME. BRINGS BACK ALOT OF MEMORIES. IT TOOK 2+ YRS TO COMPLETE N.B.T. JUST TO HAVE IT SHELVED BY GEFFIN. UNFORTUNATELY JOHN KALODNAR'S LACK OF INTRUST TO FULFILL THE CONDITIONS OF JOHN'S CONTRACT IN THE END WAS A HUGE LOSS TO EVERYONE INVOLVED. 'NOTH'N BUT TROUBLE' CONTAINS SOME OF JOHN'S BEST WORK TO DATE. -DANNYBOY 2016

John Sykes was so great in his stints with Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake and Blue Murder. Great guitar player. Great hair. Great tunes. I partied with him once in Cleveland. It was John, me and two super hot twin sisters drinking at the Bond Court Hotel bar. Wouldn't you know it, John winds up walking out of the bar with both women onto his tour bus. All I could do was smile and raise my beer to him. "Go get 'em, Johnny!" Rock and Roll, baby! Those were great times.

We (Dir. Tod Mesirow and his team) did this video on an extremely minuscule budget as part of a promo package for use in (Japan only). This video for 'We All Fall Down' off BM's "Nothing But Trouble" was never intended to be televised or released in the states to promote BM's seriously underrated sophomore and last album N.B.T. I was John's ft in-studio/road guitar tech as well as personal asst. from 92'- 95'. Worked throughout the NBT studio sessions in JS private studio in LA. and during the post prod. sessions asst. on behalf of John Sykes to Mike Fraser post prod. mixer via the Record Plant West 'Studio 2'. 'Noth'n But Trouble' Prod. Credit: DB Simmz as Technical Director. On behalf of John Sykes Murder Music LLC

+DB SIMMZ Yeah I remember this video appeared on Japanese metal TV show "Bang-Up Rock". That's the only TV show I think i've seen it on. Did this video ever appear on Headbangers Ball on European MTV at all ? This is one of the BEST rockin' jams of all time, John Sykes vocals are on top form, the guitars and drums sound great and the guitar solo in the middle is killer awesome!!

@michaelschmidt97083 жыл бұрын
I went to John's house in Northridge to interview him for 'Nothing But Trouble' which was a thrill since I had been a fan since the Tygers days. We hung out for a bit afterwards - he told BM had an offer to tour Europe with this band Dream Theater but wasn't sure if he should go for it. I told him he should but he must've decided against it - probably felt it was slightly beneath him to open up for DT who were just starting to break thru at the time. I also took a couple of JS era Thin Lizzy live videos with me which we ended up watching in his living room. Will always remember that afternoon. P.S.: I assume the 'We All Fall Down video was shot at Third Encore on Vanowen. I remember stopping by there once with a friend of Marco's when BM were rehearing there for what must've been a tour of Japan.

Should be huge? What do you mean? He's already huge, if you talk about his commercial success you are right he deserves more than this, but unfortunately this can't be real because people are musically idiots. If an artist is few recognised (not recogniZed because John is from UK XD) this shows he's a great artist, Sykes is a great great artist because he's few recognised ;-). In my opinion he's so better than Zakk Wylde, and infact Zakk is more recogniZed XD. I think about Heavy Metal, but only about this, he's the best. I'm Italian and I know and love Sykes!!!
