So glad we could help! We love ours, so much quieter than a generator 😊 Just be sure that you hook the battery to the main unit, since it does not work on its own. Also be sure you lock the cable properly. We have had several people that missed that detail and thought their unit was defective. Have fun boondocking!😊

You are welcome! Be sure you get the connecting cable locked on both ends or it will not work. It seems to be a common mistake. The top unit does not work on its own on this model, it has to be connected to the battery. We made that mistake the first time we hooked ours up. 😊👍

Hi, Folks. I've really enjoyed your cabin building journey. I'm constantly amazed at how much you get done. This episode is somewhat disappointing. It's nice that Bluetti sent this, but all of this capability comes at a very high price... almost $5K.
@natureartgirl2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s expensive, but a built in generator for our camper costs as much. This is so much quieter. We do craft shows sometimes to sell Cinda’s art work and you can only run a generator at certain times because of the noise. So this is perfect! We understand though, we can’t afford it right now either. But it is nice not to have to buy gas! After the initial investment it is free. They also have smaller models that are still really impressive. Probably plenty for our camper or some backup power in an emergency.

Do u have to use the Bluetti solar panels, or can you mount permanent solar panels onto the roof of your cabin to charge the power station while you are there? Saves you schlepping the portable panels with u every time u go to the cabin.
@natureartgirl2 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, definitely! Permanent panels would be great. They are interchangeable as long as they have the proper connections and voltage. The website has more info on all that. We don’t really have much experience with that yet. You can also have an electrician wire in a permanent sub panel to your house that you can run just certain things on your solar or for power outages.
@rsstnnr76 Жыл бұрын
Great video. Here's a real world question. Let's say I wanted to run the saw you were using for 10 hours. Without solar panels, how long would it run the saw (fully charged)? And how many solar panels would I need to run it non-stop for 10 hours? I would never actually do that but I'm trying to figure out the math. Thanks!
@natureartgirl Жыл бұрын
The saw we were using was a pretty high power one. It was using 930 watts. So if you ran it continuously for an hour (which I’m sure no one would actually do) it would use 930 watt hours of power. So it would last over 3 hours with continuous use. Some skill saws only use about 500 watts so they would last twice as long. In real life usage, of course, it would last much longer, probably all day. If you add one of their 350 watt solar panels, that is adding roughly another 300 watts each hour. That model is also able to support 5 batteries so you could always add one if needed. They have a crazy good sale right now too! Hope this helps😊

Yes, the cigarette lighter charger cord is included. You can hook to a battery to charge it also, but the cable with the alligator clips is an added option. It does not come with the basic unit. 😊

Hi Lance and Cinda! I can’t thank you both enough for the exceptional job you did in creating an absolutely ideal video utilizing real life conditions. Terrific! I have only one question which I can’t seem to find an answer: Do you know what kind of charging wire or cable to use if desiring to charge the Bluetti 300 via a dual fuel generator? Bluetti states the 300AC can be charged this way too and if you have an idea I would very much appreciate knowing about the cord and where to plug it in on both the Bluetti and the traditional generator. Oh, and is it possible to extend the length of the cord. Thanks again and thanks for any thoughts and information. Alan
@natureartgirl Жыл бұрын
Hi Alan. it’s really pretty easy The Bluetti comes with an 15 amp cord that plugs into the side of the unit and the other end is a regular three prong plug that you can plug into any outlet. so if your generator has AC outlets on it, that you can plug an extension cord into, you just plug in an extension cord run it to the short cord that comes with the Bluetti. It will plug right in Just be sure you use a heavy duty extension cord like a 10 three would probably be best. I hope that made sense😊 they have a picture of the cords that come with the unit on their website. All of the input ports are on the side of that unit I think. 👍

Thank you so much for your reply in answering both of my questions. I had no idea the process was so easy and I think my confusion comes from too much reading about a subject I know so little about. However, learning about it has been an invigorating experience. I just want you both to know that your KZbin truly inspired me! It was also very relaxing to the soul, if that makes sense. 😊 I know that everybody really appreciates ya'll and you work so well together. I wish you the best of the best!
@natureartgirl Жыл бұрын
Hi Alan, we understand completely! We are not very “high tech” either! 😂 that’s why we liked these solar generators, it is super easy to learn how to use them. Just notice on this particular one, the top section will not work unless it is hooked to the battery pack. It doesn’t have its own battery like most of the smaller units. That makes it easier to move..each part is not so heavy. Thank you for watching!!😊👍

Will it power a freezer
@natureartgirl Жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely. How long will depend on how old your freezer is. Newer ones are generally more efficient. You can look inside the door on some and it will tell you how many watts it takes. This model bluetti stores 3000 watt hours with the one battery. You can add extra batteries too if you need more. Plus you can, of course charge with solar panels as it is being used. Hope this helps😊

To be honest, it is cheaper and safer for you to use car batteries to connect in parallel, or to use lead-acid and gel batteries to build. The linking effect of solar hard panels is better, and it is more economical and durable than folding panels. Greetings from China.
@natureartgirl2 жыл бұрын
You can use hard solar panels with this if you are not carrying it with you. The foldable ones are great for camping or occasional use. Also if you are using them on a job. The hard ones work good for a permanent setup. 😊👍

One thing I am not happy about the AC300 system is that it is expensive. I still have to buy batteries.
@natureartgirl2 жыл бұрын
Yes, if you want a smaller system, Bluetti makes them that are all in one unit. This one is designed to be expandable so you can use it for home backup or other uses that require more storage capacity. Even with only one battery, it would be too heavy for one person to move, so we like that it is two parts. Also, nice because you can put them beside each other instead of stacked if your space requires it. It definitely is an investment though😊👍
@runaway94922 жыл бұрын
The AC300 would not work as a standalone unit. I still have to buy the B300 just to make it work.
@natureartgirl2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is designed to be used with the B300 battery. If it was all one unit it would be difficult for one person to move as it is heavy! If you want a stand alone unit, the EB200P would be better for you. This one is made to be expandable -up to 4 batteries per unit. It is more for higher energy needs, like home backup.

I bought a new AC300+B300 combo in December and it arrived DOA. BLUETTI customer service is a joke. VERY unprofessional setup, the phone numbers on the website go to phones located who knows where and you can only get customer service via email. It's been a week and after calls every day and multiple emails, I am still trying to figure out how to return this thing. For all that the battery is able to be used separately for 12v charging, at this point I wish I bought an ECOFLOW unit instead.
@natureartgirl2 жыл бұрын
Hi again! We got to thinking. Be sure when you hook the cable from the battery to the AC300 that you lock the locking mechanism at each end of the cable. It is easy to miss. We did that once and it will not power on at all if those are not locked. You may already know that, but just for what it is worth😊👍👍

I believe that unit can use up to 1600 watts of solar panel. Which charges the unit to full pretty quick. It's really an amazing unit. A tiny bit over priced. But for a cabin or camper the ac300 with max solar is pretty damn amazing.
@natureartgirl Жыл бұрын
Yes, actually it’s even more than that.. the solar input can be as high as 2400 watts! And you can add extra batteries if you need them, up to 5 total for extra storage capacity if you are using it for a home. Pretty impressive!!😊👍👍
