Great review and so much more in depth than any of the other KZbin channels! I just ordered one of the B80's and received it a couple of days ago. I got it mainly for use with a 40 QT DC frig and one of the PV120S panels to keep it charged in a vehicle. At some point, i will get one of the AC60's, but hoping they will have a good sale at some point. I have the AC180, along with 2 of the EB3A's, an AC200MAX and 2 of the B230 batteries for use in the house. Thanks for all the hard work:)

Wow Jeff, incredible analysis as always. I’m always so impressed by your videos. You go into so much depth of detail. I thought KZbinrs like Hobotech were detailed but this is to another level. So thank you very much. I’m looking forward to seeing the future video on the B80 aviation cable to DC7909 adapter. I have a AC180 and apparently you can connect the B80 to the AC180 to charge it. I know that technically is daisy chaining like how you showed the B230 to AC180 charging so I’m curious to see how much power efficiency loss occurs via that method whenever you make that video. Great review. thanks for the in-depth info. That b80 battery looks like a great buy. I do not think they have released that special wire yet to connect it to the other power stations. I could be wrong.

Correct. The Aviation to DC7909 and Aviation to XT60 cables are not out yet. I'll have a shorter how-to on using those when they become available.

I'm thinking of adding the b80 to my collection, specifically to extend the battery storage for my EB3A now that the new cable comes with it is a big incentive.👍🏾 although no AC charger is a let down👎🏾, although I guess it's there way to reduce e-waste, maybe there banking on most people buying these will have the older solar gens that used the charger you have in this video? On a side note, I'm wondering if you know if Bluetti also reserves 10 percent of the battery in the EB3A? I recently tested it running a Dometic CFX3 95dz on AC power. I ran the Eb3a down to 4 percent, and measured about 180 watts of appliance used power in a 4:32 long period. Hypothetically, by looking at your standby chart, if I add that figure it would bring my test up to 208 watts of expected power consumption, then take into consideration a 10 percent reserve, which would be 25.6 watts. That leaves a 22.4 watt conversion loss out of 230.4 user accessible power from the Eb3a. If this math is right, then Bluetti is spot on with the build. Sorry for commenting about the Eb3a on this video, I just didn't see a EB3A video from you to look at, and place this comment there. but I was thinking you shouldn't fully drain it, but if they already protect the battery by reserving 10 percent, then it had even better efficiency then I originally thought.

I did place an order @ Bluetti Europe for the T200S AC-adapter ...... I can use it for lower charge ( Low = 272Watt ) at my AC180 ...... if in winter - month I can get only 200Watt or less power to charge ..... I use a solar - grid of 1500Watt/p

Awesome video. A question and comment. Q: what throughput does the B80 support over the cable? I am curious if it is beyond what the ac60 can use, which leads me to my comment - I really hope they come out with an ac180Max that supports true expandability with the b80 batteries. That would make a great upgrade path for owners of the ac60.

I've been told by Bluetti that the airline adapter is 30amps at ~22 volts or about 660-watts. The battery expansion cable will probably be limited to 10 amps or so if it has a DC7909 connector on the end since that DC barrel connector can only be made to push 10 amps without overheating and melting. There seems to be an XT60 version planned also, but I don't know what Bluetti has in mind for the wattage max on that one. I am also in the camp where I think that all but the smallest solar generators should have some kind of expandability.

Excellent review as always! Was really looking forward to this one. AC60 with 800W or 1000W AC output would've been perfect as it would allow use of most microwave ovens, but the B80 is pretty much perfect as is. Can't wait to see what Bluetti does with their higher end line ups after their AC60, B80 and AC180 smash hits. Although for me the AC180 was a bit of a dud by not having battery expansion options + only 1x USB-C port. Any plans of review the Anker Powerhouse 767 (now renamed Anker SOLIX F2000) and/or EcoFlow Delta 2 (vanilla + Max)? For me: - Anker excels in efficiency, low noise, design, mobility (wheels), quality and power. However no DC ports on extension battery is a miss and no Wifi either, app is still quite simple. - EcoFlow makes some of the most powerful AC output units per size/weight, e.g. the Delta 2 with 1800W, not being that much bigger and heavier than the AC60 is really impressive. Also their app is simply the best, and they make really interesting smart units (Glacier, Wave), though their portable solar panes kind of suck in convenience of setting up compared to Bluetti+Anker (both of whom have quite similar portable solar panels). EcoFlow power stations used to be too noisy, but the Delta 2 Max seems to finally fix that. Best units on market for me in AC power output categories: Low (

I'm not sure that a B80 would be able to work with a 1000 watt device as is. The battery is 22.4v nominal, with a cable that supports 30 amps. The math shows 22.4*30 = 672 watts maximum output from the battery. They would have to get pretty creative to feed a 1kw inverter from a power source that only supports 0.6kw. They could do daisy chaining, but that isn't very efficient. Also, daisy chaining will be supported via an upcoming cable, so it can be used that way if you want to. I'll have a video on that when it's out.

Actually now I’m curious, I wonder if for keeping a fridge running full time in the car, using just the B80 instead of both would be better? Since the DC idle consumption is so low…

Also I found it really surprising that Bluetti did not design their new AC180 to have an aviation input on the side like the AC60/B80 has. Seems like it would have been common sense to design the AC180 to accept a B80 via that method. I guess Bluetti decided to just go the cheaper route of the daisy chaining with the adapter cable despite the known energy inefficiency/loss that would occur.

I have a EB3A and i use a ecoWorthy 12,8 v 50Ah lifepo4 battery. world well. 250 CAD instead of 700 $ for the B80.

I have the AC200Max in my camper, despite having other options available. The modular nature of it and flexibility is very hard to beat. It is Bluetti's flagship model for good reason.

The AC180 review video is already up on the channel as a separate video. The B80 does not connect to the AC180 natively, although I'm working on another video that will show how to do that. The cable needed for that isn't quite released yet.

Yup, the manual says 806 watt hours. It says 800 watt hours printed on the front of the device. I'm guessing later versions will say 806 watt hours printed on the front.
