why not use an external dedicated screen instead of the cineeye

Nice info, still relevant in 2022 December! The fact that it records (certain cards) in CinemaDNG RAW is absolutely unmatched at this form factor price and image quality. Just got mine, with a 14-42 mounted it on a zhiyun crane m2, absolutely light weight. Was thinking of mounting it on a custom monopole and was requiring a light weight image transmitter to the iPhone iPad. The Accsoon cine eye seems the best choice for weight and size to try and mount it on the gimbal, I think I still have just over 125g before hitting the max payload on the crane m2, with the 14-42. Using internal batteries at the moment and unfortunately need a few of them used conservatively. The Sony solution you’ve shown is good if I can mount the holder and the gimbal handle and plug the cable loose from there. All in all very informative, thank you for the tips! Im also building a rig with the bmpcc 4K on a weebill s with image transmission, that’s good but Still have power supply to sort out on that, and an ursa mini 4.6k on a shoulder rig, again for CDNG. Hoping to try downgrading the bmpcc 4K to 5.1 for CDNG option but don’t want to risk messing the camera. Subbed, look forward to new videos.

Thank you! I appreciate your support. You can try adding a handle grip to your gimbal if you'd like to use more accessories with your camera. I've done a video on that too. Enjoy shooting with your camera!

Hi great to see you vids on this little puppy. I use a couple of artisan lenses - the 25 is my go to - but also the 17mm is an excellent lens for close ups - ironic as it is a ‘wide’ but on this sensor size I end up using it for extreme close ups. (I also use an M2 crane which works well if the camera is upside down!!!) . Keep up the vids

Thank you! I use the TTArtisans too with the OG. It's a great combo.

@@HQFHasanQureshiFilms have you tried the 12mm with the OG?
@HQFHasanQureshiFilms2 жыл бұрын
@@mattwillis-jones5645 Not the 12mm, but I have used the 14mm Panasonic & 12.5mm Cosmicar & also Computar lens(almost the samething) with the OG. These are good for wide shoots. I have the 12-35mm too, but I don't use it as much. For wide shoots you can also try the TTArtisan 7.5mm. Thanks to the crop it kills the fisheye effect.

How much the entire setup will cost if one doesn't mind how the camera look and just want to shoot still videos inside a room .. like filming myself for KZbin videos? Minimum cost to get the camera ready to shoot videos?
@HQFHasanQureshiFilms10 ай бұрын
$500 to $700 if you’re open to the idea of buying used gear. If you use your phone it can be much cheaper just get a mic and a light to start.

I always film with an IR cut filter, and when outdoors a variable ND, what thoughts do you have?
@HQFHasanQureshiFilms3 жыл бұрын
I don't use IR very much, but ND or a VND is a must during the day and occasionally in the evening based on filming conditions. Since the native iso is 800 and the best for filming prores, a VND filter is essential to capture the best image.
@sthubbins40382 жыл бұрын
With Blackmagic cams, an IR-Cut is a must if you're using a variable ND. Otherwise you get the dreaded maroon blacks.

It's tough to get a good deal on it since the resurgence. The only country I know where you can get it for 200-300 USD is China because people are crazy about Sony and that's all they use there. But it requires a lot of research to find a reliable dealer that might be selling one in working condition.
@theorncampbell44323 жыл бұрын
I've seen those asking prices, but I wonder how many of them sell. I just picked one up today for $250 USD. He threw in a cage, mounting plate, rail system 3 batteries and a charger. I've seen a few online for over $1,000 with accessories. That's pretty silly when you consider that the camera was only $999 when it was new. Keep looking around and you'll find them.

Crop factor kills it, unless someone can suggest some way of getting wide angle footage.
@HQFHasanQureshiFilms3 жыл бұрын
You can use a speed booster with the camera or get wide angle M43 lenses. There are many options from 7.5mm-14mm by different manufactures.
@martindemanable3 жыл бұрын
These days the options are better then they used to be. My native mft lenskit is: 7.5mm Loawa f/2 (22.5mm eq) 12-40mm Olympus f/2.8 (36-120mm eq) 17mm ttartisan f/1.4 (51mm eq) 25mm Olympus f/1.8 (75mm eq) This set has cost me only €830 in total by patiently searching and bidding secondhand. But can be achieved even cheaper by going for: Viltrox speedbooster and canon 10-18mm (slower but stabalised!), sigma 17-50mm ef, sigma 30mm f/1.4 ef.
@hbp_3 жыл бұрын
Speed boosters are okish and fairly cheap nowadays. IMO a bigger problem is mounting the camera securely, I have tried 3 cages and they all allow a little play. It's also hard to find SD cards for this or the micro. As long as the HDMI connector works, you can ofc record externally.
@HQFHasanQureshiFilms3 жыл бұрын
@@hbp_ It's hard to find a good cage for this camera, but for lens I think M43 lenses are good enough and there are plenty of options. For SD, I use Lexar 633X 128GB. I use the same SD with GH series, Canon, & Olympus and never had an issue. Sandisk & Kingston also have workable option, but the Lexar seemed to perform better and was compatible with all.

They are selling used for 500-800 bucks on eBay. I think film makers are chasing that organic cinematic look the og bmpcc had.
