Great video! I replaced mine in the summer on my 218d and did the rears only two weeks ago. Also fitted Brembo discs and pads, great quality and a good price from Eurocarparts. I would say they take longer than expected to bed in and get to their optimum braking efficiency, other than that, pretty straightforward job!

Cool video. Clear and to the point but with nice extra info. My front brakes had a wobble for exactly that reason - it sat barely driven for ~8 weeks whilst being prepped for sale. I would say you should clean around the brake fluid reservoir as instructed before opening. You also didn’t apply anything to the hub before fitting the new disc - there’s a good chance it’ll seize and need a hammer now to release it in future 👍

I changed my disks pads & rear shoes front & back a fortnight ago. Everything is good but the rears are squeezing like f**k when I come to a full stop 🤦‍♂️ any ideas? Iv done 800 miles on them so can’t be the coating Thanks

might be worth popping the pads out again and sanding the glaze off the pads, and sanding the corners off the braking material, that usually helps, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Also, did you not need to clean off the protective film/grease on the discs prior to replacing!

Another great video Anton.... Thank you for sharing. My wife's Honda Jazz is close to requiring some new front pads, it's always had Honda OEM in the past, however they tend to be a little bit pricey in comparison. I may give the Brembo's a pint, as opposed to eg Mintex. How's the AF btw? All under control I hope 🤔 Regards..... Mike your neighbour in Nottingham 😊

The BREMBO discs and pads are the best I have used, the painted inner sections on the discs are so clean really finished well, The af is under control, I have had 2 episodes in the last 6 months, now on new medication now so see how it goes. Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Don’t recommend using the locking wheel nut key with an impact gun as they are not designed for such use and can be ruined.

hello. you are making four mistakes. mistake 1. you don't lubricate the place where the disc rests. mistake 2. you don't clean the very dirty caliper. mistake 3. you don't lubricate the sliding pins. and mistake 4. you don't lubricate the points of contact of the tiles with the slides. these from me with love. giorgoe from Corinth Greece. be well, be strong and pay more attention to detail.
