I can personally vouche for the fact the 330e f20 will do more than what websites claim which is 130. I've done 130 in battery save mode several times and still had tons of floor space leftover. Speedometer says 160 and i'm almost certain it'll do that.

Strange logic expressed about range anxiety 260mile/range electric eniac vs 400 mile range in 330e, not to mention a 5 minute reliable refill literally all over the place vs a 35 minute recharge at scarce recharge stations.

If you keep charging the battery to 100% in a PHEV like this one (in order to maximise the electric range and the overall fuel economy), won't the battery capacity deteriorate relatively quickly? In pure EVs you are recommended, in order to preserve battery condition and life, to charge the battery to no more than 80%, and not to recharge it until you are down around 30%. In fact; keeping it between 30% and 70% is the ideal way to preserve lithium-ion battery life. I'd be interetested to know the statistics on battery life in a PHEV.

Honestly quite long, you spend most of your time driving the gas engine with help of the electric engine. You’re not reliant on the battery all the time like you would be with an electric car. So good for awhile.

Yeah pre heat or cool. Also works when the car is parked but not charging

What is the average MPG when driving in hybrid mode?

That’s a very hard question to answer because it will vary depending on your driving style. In ‘Normal’ driving I get low to mid 30’s MPG. I’ve gotten as high as 40 MPG on a trip with a fully drained battery. If you really enjoy the performance capabilities of this car, it will get low 20’s MPG. I bought mine because it is like owning 2 cars. An economy car that can get 40MPG and a performance car that can really keep a smile on my face. I do much of my weekday driving on electric only. I charge nightly and have access to a charger at work.

⁠​⁠@@stehirst227I am in the USA. The cost of electricity is less than if I were to buy premium high octane fuel. I can go 15 miles on $1 worth of electricity. I can go about 10 miles on $1 of premium fuel.

Yes. 3 years of service are included in your new purchase. You can pay for a year at a time after the initial 3 years (as I understand) You can pre heat or cool your car from it. It’s better if the car is plugged in before attempting to heat your BMW as heating requires a lot of power. I find that on a cold day, 5 mins of pre-heating will make it bearable inside the vehicle.

Let Me explain you why,it has a small battery that means you are going to charge it full every day charging it full every day will deteriorate the battery fast.The battery to replace is 11, 000 €/£. So in reality the plugin cars are for wealthy clients that keep their car for 3 years and then give the expensive ticking time bomb to the next owner. And that's why nobody wants used EV/PHEV. Except dumb clients

Lack of boot space is a killer, how can Tesla get massive space in their M3 and MY cars but BMW reduced theirs…they should have done a full electric version and dropped the engine in front.
