If your car is having a rough or abnormal idle this is probably one of the first things you'd want to do with your car. Tools needed: Socket Set Screwdriver Carb Cleaner *new hoses and hose clamps suggested

Great video! Just got my e30 318is last week. I have tons of mechanical experience but videos like this really help. My last car was a 1966 C10 so none of these hoses... ha ha

Yeah, it should be fine. Make sure it is dry before installing.

Tried this today and my icv does not rattle.

It is supposed to rattle loosely inside. I would spray it liberally with the carb cleaner until you hear if moving easy when you shake it.

I accidentally pulled out that bottom hose trying to put the icv back and j can't find where it connects, help?

+Bairdogg I did the same thing, it attaches to a hose that runs parallel to the engine block. You can google BMW m42 IACV diagram, to get a better idea. Good luck.
