BMW 328i Oil filter and O-rings replacment.

Oil was leaking from th oil filter housing and i decided to replace the O-ring... the filter was trashed so everything was replaced.

Was that oil filter the BMW filter?

no. that was a K&N filter supposedly ... the guy we got the car from said he JUST changed it..... LIES!

Why would you throw an oil soaked filter on the ground? Is the earth your trash can? Proper disposal of those kind of items it paramount.

There is a brass ring with the filter where and what is that for

Depending on what brand filter they might come with extra parts for other applications. But if it had the ring on the bottom for an extra seal thats where it may have gone. This video was made years ago and the car left right after so i cant remember it coming with the ring.

Brass ring is a seal for oil drain plug
