Thanks a lot, that bracket with its hidden screws was driving me nuts on my E70 M57Y. Yes, the vacuum lines get so baked onto the pressure converters, that it is very easy to brakr the plastic noses off.

wow how much more complex is this car!? I was just watching the same engine being done on a different video and there was noway near as many things to get out the way!

this is a 335, so even though it might be the same block, this has a twin turbo setup. Couls be wht it seemed easier.

How many miles and what age was the car when you needed to do this? Prior to doing this work what were the symptoms that the gasket was on its way out? Thanks

Jagshemasher - 157k Miles or 253k Kilometers. Oil seeping from rear main seal. Variable power loss, about 5-10% but felt.

@@alphadevyat can leaking valve cover gasket make lower charge air pressure as well in live data test in requested / vs actual? mine actual charge air is slightly lower while stationery. requested about 1050 and actual 790. also it accelerates slower

is there any easier way how to release the pressure converter bracket? just the bolts on top maybe and on the side without releasing all the connections, if you want to change valve cover gasket?
@alphadevyat4 жыл бұрын
Martin Kulik yes you can just release the bracket, 5 bolts, 3 on top, 2 on side. Move towards passenger side. But you gotta watch the EMP feed connection off the manifold. I would undo the banjo bolt for it. But do it on a hot manifold to make you do not snap it.

@@alphadevyat thanks a lot. what is the emp feed connection on real oem? and also please where is that banjo bolt? I am glad to know I can possibly just release the screw on the bracket. have you ever done that while changing valve cover gasket yourself as well this way? thanks

@@alphadevyat but will you be able to access the bottom plate that you are unscrewing at 20:38 when you only release the bolts on pressure converters bracket? I tried to remove it a month ago, but I couldn't, so will try again as I have to change valve cover gasket, so I am looking to do it some different way besides releaseing all the connections and hoses, if it makes sense, so are you sue, I can only release 5 bolts on top bracket and move it aside and then access the bottom bracket at 20:38, and take it off and release valve cover? because If I can't do it that way, I might give it to garage.....thanks
