BMW 335i N54 30ff Code Fix

Finally!! I fixed the 30ff code on my bmw 335i n54. After replacing the vacuum lines, the diverter valves, the charge pipe and rebuilding the wastegates on the front and rear turbos ... I finally just went ahead and bought the Turbo solenoids.. and boom!!! that was the answer! I replaced both solenoids and the dreaded 30ff code is finally gone!!!

hello good video, my car was running fine but yesterday I changed the pcv valve because I saw that it smelled burnt, I decided to put a new one take advantage and I put new spark plug and bms high flow filters, and surprise when I started the car it didn't sound the same as before it accelerated and obviously less power and it sounded something like lamineo, and the bov doesn't make the typical noise pst!. With your experience, do you think that the new pcv valve that I put in is related to the problem or was it a coincidence that when I changed all this, something was damaged? I don't know what I should do :(

What symptoms were you getting. Was it intermittent? When my car is cold it hits boost fine. When it warms up it starts throwing 30ff and limp mode. Shut it off let it sit for a few hours. Holds for a few more pulls untill same 30ff and limp mode.

it always happened in 3rd & 4th gear for me as soon as I really got on it.. everytime. didn’t matter if hot or cold. haven’t had a problem since replacing the vacuum solenoids.

@@thekimballproject3236 thanks for the reply. Varies for me. Sometimes barely getting into it at 3500 rpms. Sometimes WOT at 5k rpms. After it sits it will hold boost good for a few pulls. Then starts to act up. One last question did your car go in limp mode when these were failing?

yep went into limp mode everytime. had to pull over and restart the car! sucked! replaced all vacuum lines.. from what I have watched for this code.. it basically has to do with the vacuum system.. sucking air somewhere.. it is weird tho because even tho it is a low vacuum code.. I accidentally forgot to plug in one of the vacuum lines after replacing the solenoids and it didn’t throw the code..

Did you also suffer from wastegate rattle? I just bought these solenoids from FCPEURO, hoping it’s my issue.

yeah, my wastegates were bad so I replaced those as well but this was the reason I was getting the 30ff code.

The Kimball Project My car started to rattle and give me low boost warning. I’m thinking it’s the solenoids - sometimes i’m hitting target PSI (15ish) sometimes I barely hit 6PSI. As fun as this car is, it’s so annoying LOL.
