Hey question for ya. I have no leaks but can it leak coolant into your oil before you see it externally??

This is a temporary fix. In the end you won't avoid replacing the blower. I tried your method but in the end I replaced it and the replacement works much better than the old after the fix

WD40 is a rust remover and a very thin lubricant which is not suitable for this purpose. Your blower will start screaming again very soon. You better use a lithium based lubricant or at least a machine oil.

I agree lithium would be better.. however, I did this 4 years ago with wd-40 and it still is good to go. no screaming.

Thanks for the video. I had the same issue and it turned out the the seal around the windscreen was not put back in correctly at my local repair shop and water was leaking directly above the fan causing it to rust, not as bad as yours though, and with a good soaking of WD40 and breakaway , problem solved. However it did take a while to get rid of that WD40 smell.

Changed the entire blower motor on mine… tested it out before I put it back into place works fine no screech, but when I finally put everything back together, it screeches… especially after level 3 and above. Any suggestions

I have a 2013 Explorer and had the same thing happen to me right after I was messing with the wind shield wipers. Bought the recommended part on Amazon and paid $63.27 to include tax. It was great cause I got it the very next day. After I removed the 2 screw it didn’t just pull out. I had to lift the tab on top a little and it came out. But it was really easy and fast to replace.

hello good video, my car was running fine but yesterday I changed the pcv valve because I saw that it smelled burnt, I decided to put a new one take advantage and I put new spark plug and bms high flow filters, and surprise when I started the car it didn't sound the same as before it accelerated and obviously less power and it sounded something like lamineo, and the bov doesn't make the typical noise pst!. With your experience, do you think that the new pcv valve that I put in is related to the problem or was it a coincidence that when I changed all this, something was damaged? I don't know what I should do :(

Thanks, man! this worked out great on my 1 series. It was squeaking real bad every time I hit the brakes. I used a little lube (not too much) and was careful not to get any on the motor brush. Would have never figured it out without this vid though so thanks again.

Good to know. Mine does the same and have been wondering if it's a ground issue when I hit the brakes. Just the play on the bearing or something. I'll grease it when it warms up outside.

Thank you! I had a problem with my multifunction switch (blinkers/brights). My local Firestone said they'd fix it for $430. I found the part at RockAuto for $20.79, and this video is what made me able to install it myself. The instructions are the same, you just unscrew the switch that's on the left rather than the switch that's on the right.

Had this annoying issue for over 6mths. Was able to shut off wipers by finding a sweet spot between the lowest intermittent setting and the off setting - Finally I had enough & asked the local auto repair shop how much it would it cost for replacement ( 200 plus a 45 dollar diagnostic fee ). Found your tutorial and paid 65bucks at Napa Auto Parts- I was able to replace within 15min --- Thanks !!!

Your comment is a year old, so I’m assuming my answer is probably too late 😕. But just in case: I just fixed this issue in ten minutes, without costing me a dime!!! Before you replace the switch, that the two screws off of the circuit board, that is on the switch. Pop circuit board off, and there are 4 prongs. I noticed that one of the prongs was ever so slightly bent lower that the others. So I thought, hmm I wonder if it’s no longer touching the board and making the connection. So I carefully bent it up a bit. Put together, reinstalled and BOOM! FIXED!! As a 38 year old single mom, I was pretty stoked to figure this out, without the help of a man, lol.mine was a 2016 Ford Explorer. Also a lot of grease in the connection, so I cleaned it up a bit
