Did you ever figure out where or why you had signs of leaking from your differential do you think it was from the drain/fill plug.. or do you think it's from the whole differential housing seal? I don't know but mine also seems just a little wet.. I did clean it up with some brake fluid 3 months ago and its still dry... Wonder why it was wet in the first place...

No, I never truly determined why it was leaking. I am waiting for my LSD to be finished, so I really didn’t dig into it. I can tell my original differential is on its way out though. I actually can hear the diff making noise at low speeds.

How did you jack up the rear without the front tires sliding off the ramp? I have this issue when I try it

What type of ramps do you have? Do they have stops on them? I’ve never had an issue.

@JohnsonMotorsports my ramps have stops in the front. Being the car is rear wheel drive, the front tires don't lock up like the rears when parked, so it slides back down when I lift the rear

Ever thought about going with a limited slip differential for the f10 or do you think it’s not worth it ?

Yeah same man I’m thinking about going with the wavetrac limited slip differential from ecs tuning for my f10 because that’s the only one I could find

From what I have researched that Wavetrac listed on ECS’s website is not compatible with our 535’s. The gear ratio is incorrect and that’s actually for a 550i. I have researched this for months. The only option we currently have is a Quafie LSD from Birds Auto in the UK and it will run around $2,900. I am currently working on developing a new option with BimmerhausePerformance. It is a Helical LSD.

@@kjhnsn7296 I had the Front And Rear Differential Fluid flushed and refilled. My mechanic charged me $240 for the labor, I supplied the both Fluids. It's 62k miles so it's time to do it, I also had the Spark Plugs replaced after that too.

A quick Google search shows you, you need to change this actually every 20-60k miles
