I just simply did an online search for BMW cluster eeprom, and got a basic idea of what I was looking for, even though it was e70 cluster specific, thanks for watching

An excellent video, Sadel! May I ask what the original K CAN line fault was that caused the corruption in the first place? Was it something related to the original ship’s engine swap?

The issue was that there was communication faults in the K-can, so the cluster didn't get correct information when programming

@@DTEAuto what was the fault? When you rescan it doeids the exclamation mark disappear (like in your original scan) and are you able to read module info.

Sadel, how did you know which address's on the hex data was holding the mileage? Also how did you determine you needed to change FF to 00 ?

Honestly, just hours of online research for both the address and binary info

Can you VIRGINISE EEPROM with Im 608 cuz you went to a program on your computer?

There's no quick one button type of way, but you can definitely have access to the eeprom data and can edit lines that you wish to the info you need. The tablet comes with a hex editor on it, and you can download a pc version program from autel once you register the xp400pro and make a user profile.

How to know where the eprom is on the board

Best way is to try and google image search it for the cluster you are working on, or take note of the numbers on the 8 legged chips and start googling those and see if they come up as an eeprom
