Hi great tutorial and I’m in the middle of trying this now. Can I ask what product did you use to clean after brushing away the old glue?

Once you have got the old foam off give a wipe with acetone to remove any glue

Is toluene too strong? I’m sure this is a bit stronger than acetone and removes adhesives

You can try it. But just make sure it doesn’t damage the board

What was the spray adhesive you used? my headliner fabric is in good shape, but the glue has failed and it is sagging. I just want to reinstall the existing fabric with new glue. What was the spray glue you used and do you have experience with it over time? Old glue has not failed like the powder in your video but has lost it's tack and cannot hold headliner. Do you think I need to remove the old.

You will not be able to regale the old fabric, you will have to replace it. The glue is a hi temp contact adhesive

I see some videos using Scotch 77 (110 degrees), Seems like Scotch 90 (160degrees) would be better? What is your experience?. Liner is totally loose. I don't expect and adhesion rips. Is there another issue that precludes re-use?@@coastalcushionco8227

@@senzigr the headliner will never get to 160 degrees so 110 degrees will be fine. the issue with trying to re-glue the old fabric, is the glue seeping through the weave in the fabric if the foam backing is no loner there
