Absolutely fascinating, can’t wait to see how the m5 is once the dct conversion is dialed in. Subbed!

fantastic work here, can you go into more detail in regards to HTG GCU? I'm wanting to do this conversion on my own M5 for track usage and would love to hear more first hand experiences with the unit. Also why delete the elctric fan and resort back to a standard E65 bit? Thank you for the time and lovely videos. Excited to see more!

E65 fan due to weight as it weighs about 6kg less than the electric set up. Plus it’s constantly cooling the oil coolers now too. As for the choice of gearbox control. Don’t bother. You’ll regret everything if you do it. If you have problems which are clearly firmware or software then you’ll be blamed for poor installation and wiring. If you struggle to get a smooth gear shift then you’ll be blamed for that too instead of being offered support. If you are lucky enough to get support without being criticised then you’ll be elbowed in to making a video which shows the product in a positive light. If you have any negative opinion on the product and air it on the Facebook support group then you’ll be banned from it and the post deleted. Seriously, avoid it like the plague. The only reason I’ve not removed it and reverted to manual is the fact I sold my 420G gearbox and can’t find another. As soon as I find one then the DCT is coming out and getting binned off until Maxxecu release their Fxx support. Personal opinion, wait until mid 2022 when MaxxECU offer full OEM integration of the Fxx series DCT gearbox.

@@WestinghouseProductions That is a serious bummer, I was already in talks with them and PCM but I was liking what DKGECU was doing more, doubt I'll see anything from them anytime soon. I'll look into MaxxECU, thank you for the honest review of the product, It explains why you dont see much of their product in use on YT, IG etc. Was the E65 fan a simple install? Minimal modifications required to fit? Im currently running a spal setup but less weight in the old girl is always best. Thank you again.

I couldn't understand it in the video, but what rear brake components are you using?

Out of curiosity, why duct the air intakes to the side of the bumper and not through the fog lights??
@WestinghouseProductions2 жыл бұрын
To prevent direct water ingress in to the intake tract when driving in heavy rain conditions on track.

Dude, Dinan already solved this intake "thingy" years ago with their one piece carbon intakes, smh' . None of that janky ribbed tubing is needed . . you're trying to reinvent the wheel but doing it incorrectly...

I’d sooner put my genitals in a blender than have anything DiNaN. No wheel reinvention here, it’s all about doing your own thing and enjoying what you have. Don’t forget - we’re not all “slap on some shiny” with an expensive name badge.
