No need to remove covers inside boot/trunk. Just remove two T50 trox bolts, and remove clips as you showed. BMW put two holes in the underside of bumper cover specifically for this purpose.

For Mtech 2 / ZHP rear bumpers you can't access those T50 bolts. There are holes, but if you look up inside you can't get to the T50 as part of the bumper obscures it.

dislikes help, they help keep videos from the youtube homepage clean by not showing information and topics that have already been learned or completed, Just like bumper videos, do we need a hundred suggestions AFTER we already did the job... No, So after you watch it DISLIKE it so you are not inundated with topics you may have already covered. To the uploader its nothing personal we just don't need suggestions on subjects we should have learned the first time. If uploaders made good videos, we would not need to continue research. However, I will continue to research this topic

Thanks for sharing this, It helped me in the removal of my E46 M3 bumper. Quick note for other M3 owners there are no poles poking out of the M3 bumper so when you start to remove it it will drop as soon as the bolts have cleared the body work so be ready especially if your doing it on your own ;)

Another great job. I have a 2001 E46 Convertible. It has the backup sensors that give an audible beep with their is something near where you're backing up towards. Make sure the wires are re-installed the same way they were taken off. While having some collision work performed, the shop didn't re-assemble correctly. Had to take it back and have them do it correctly.

All other videos show removing the bolts holding the impact shocks to the rear bumper carrier when removing the bumper. If the bolts are corroded like mine were your method could save time and difficulty. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks for this. My 330ci convertible is a track day car only, so as its lowered it is hard to get a jack under it to quickly get the wheels off. I made a "quick release" bumper cover for the front, so I can quickly remove the cover and put a jack on the aluminium cross brace (with a long piece of wood that goes between the bumper struts/dampers) - it takes about 2 minutes to get the front off. I wanted to see if I could do the same with the rear, so your video really helped!! Thanks

I hate those cheap ass fake plastic screws lmao...like you expect them to twist but you have to just force them out. I broke the handle of one and now the "screw" part that doesn't even function as a screw is lodged in my trunk.
