How about opening the top while you are driving. Can you program that? Sometimes when I'm in a traffic jam and it's getting hot I want to shut the roof. But it's blocked.

can Carly program acceptance for a convertible Hardtop? I am having Issues with my E46 I installed the Hardtop kit on my convertible M3 because it was not factory set and now my Navigation system is acting up and keeps the interior light of the hardtop on and Navigation system on even after the car being completely turned off, I have to disconnect the battery to avoid getting it drained by these issues, there might be a short circuit somewhere, or do I need to program the car for the Hardtop compatibility? and that should clar the issues I am not 100% sure, any help will be appreciated.

I think mine does that from the factory. I was told by BMW to never put the top down until the car is on. With it off it puts more pressure on the hydraulic pump

just buy a smartmodule instead of carly. The smartmodule enables you to open/close the roof be pressing the button once and while driving up to 30miles/hour

First, does one have to have the mods4cars BMW module for $400 in ADDITION to this Carly or can this be done with JUST the Carly?? ie. do you NEED BOTH things? That's like $400 for the mods4cars module PLUS the $80-100 for the Carly....is this correct. Both vids do not state whether you need BOTH. ie. what is the CHEAPEST WAY and DEVICES (in full) needed to do this?? Thx.
