Hi, I´ve replaced the same parts of my M6, everytime when I up a gear the revolution goes down quite lot, something between 500 and 1000 rpm, is this normal for the new parts? Thanks and good video!

whenever I unlock the car i hear a loud humming sound. The car also smells sometimes, especially after red lining. Since today I have a red cog in my display. Its probably the Clutch and SMG pump, aint it?

usually when you unlock this car the smg primes the car so that could be noise you're hearing... does it go on for about 8-10 seconds roughly ?

I am fitting a new clutch and flywheel on monday and dont have this info available to me, it would be much appreciated if you could tell me, thanks. Oh and when its done i want to drive it up to you for you to do the Rod bearings thanks

@J B Great explanation. I drive a BMW M2 with the DCT and it's pretty good. Not perfect but much better than manual shifting.

I absolutely loved the M6 Sequential Manual Gearbox, I have been driving all sorts for decades and this was a revelation, my only problem was a slow to engage start from a standstill on occasions, seemingly if on a slight incline upwards and you try to go and then the car goes with a slight hesitancy, apart from that it was a terrific gearbox.

PJ C if over 65000 miles clutch changes will prob need consideration. Main faults throttle body actuators and con rod wear. Be prepared to spend money on maintenance/repair it’ll be fine...
