As of now it its running good but my valve cover is leaking very little my next video will be changing to the aluminum valve cover to fix that issue

No the 320i is 4 cylinder and the 325 328 330 are 6 cylinders

Thanks but Very little maybe an inch or so it's not much at all I didn't want to put pressure on the oil pan and bust it.

I come here to see how easy it would be to steal mine😂🤣 being in my area there's one stolen every hour after dark and sometimes every couple hours firing daylight..just depends what city your cars parked at the time. Dude! Thank you for the video. I have a project 2008 328xi coupe for my kid. I told my mechanic about your video. He said if the light warning light goes off, grab them and he’ll put them on.

The light went off and has stayed off every time i drive it. It's definitely worth the money but it's hard to change either way.

Man, wait lol the cowl should have a weather strip that goes on the flange where the removeable cowl section presses around it so that it is sealed. Meaning it doesn't go under that lip but covers it along with the sealing weather strip. Like this: cowl [ C - (where "C" is the weather strip and "-" is the lip you put the cowl section under so water doesn't drip down)

@@barrettgarage1088 yeap, same here I just had to do valve cover, and starter prior to that. Still need to do manifolds or O2 sensors but I get constant 29F5 code. Need to hook it up to the scanner to check O2 readings but I suspect it needs new manifolds. Also have to do the passenger rear axle or maybe differential as there is some weird noise. They can be finicky but they are awesome landships. Landships that love new components 😆

Yea the 06 325 is the same manifold as the 07 328. They fit the n51 and n52 engines.

Barrett the Catalytic converter that you changed in your car are still working well .And what is the compant that you bought them from Canada and do they fits a 2009 328 N52 ?

I'd say if one is bad the other one is not far from failing also so rule of thumb if you change one change both while you already in there.

I did the same method on the E46 so I thought I was just curious to e90 was it the same or not unfortunately yes it is so thank you very much for your video I also like to ask you what's that little tiny triangle for what does it mean

I had an e46 before this and the m54 and n52 are so similar it's crazy. That's what helped me on this. I'm not sure what triangle your referring to. The one on the dash cluster?

Thanks for the video as It helped me immensely I followed your advice and was able to remove both manifolds/cats without having to remove the exhaust. I removed bank 1 through bottom without having jack the engine up with the front of the car on jack stands. Time to put it back together with the new cats. Cheers!

Ahh man this looks complicated as hell. Im getting a smell in the cabin because of this. I think it smogs my windows even when the defrost is on. I know its not simple air moister because of the egg smell. Is this analysis correct?

I’m getting cat conversion codes after trying to clean carbon out of the secondary air pump on my n51 motor I think some sludgy carbon may have clogged cats cause what shot out of the secondary air port was insane.

I jumped into if all Gung ho and now it has an exhaust leak when I start it up but goes away after a few mins. It was more of a test to get my check engine light off for o2 sensors and that worked. Now I'll go back as easy as it is and put new ones on this winter during my slow time at work. I was gonna do them then, But they were not in stock locally, and some didn't want to come out of the head. I'm saving that to make future content. That's the only reason I didn't change them at that point.

Honestly it runs better than it ever has that I know of but I've only driven maybe 500 miles since then. I drive my truck more than anything I got due to all the pot holes in the roads here. It does have a strange smell after few minutes when I start it then it goes away probably just the smell of new cats. The acceleration is ridiculous compared to before I actually feel the tourqe when accelerating vs before feeling like a quick stock civic. It opened my eyes to how well its tuned for cats on it and it does really well. Gas mileage I get like 24mpg and I let it idle alot so it's not accurate it will drop to 19 then I fill up reset it and back to staying right on 24 until I leave it idling.

@@thomasgomez9749 yea before even if I reset it on the highway it would only show 19mpg at best it ran really rich with the check engine light on then just as an average it would show 14.6 mpg after days of driving

Pro tip: Take the seal strip out of the cowl assembly and press it back on the flange edge after removing so you can ensure it is seated properly during installation.

Cats don’t just go back on their own and these engines believe it or not are very hesitant to throw check engine lights for some things til it’s too late. Spark and coil is one of ‘em. My cats just went on my n52 guy at the shop insists it’s my coils that caused it. Even though it drives fine. In my specific case I think it’s a combination of failed disas, coils, and air leak on the valve cover gasket all combined is what took my cats out 🤣. Nice to see they can come out from the top for when I finally do the job.

May not be the best way of doing it but I found it to be the easiest on me. I do maintenance in a factory so I used logic thinking to figure out what would be easiest. I'm glad I could help.

No these are strictly n51 and n52 I would message the seller and ask about the converters for the n54 that's in your car
