Thanks. I just added HK front speakers and tweeters a few months back. Its better than the stock speakers but thats about it. Looking at a proper b&w with amplifier..... :)

Hi mate. I did this myself, using your video as a guide. Works very well, except for the reverse camera. I guess it is about wiring, but cant figure out what I did wrong. There are 4 wires on the connector, and I tried every combination, but still cant find where to connect camera power and ground. What are the wires for reverse light? Any tips appreciated.

Very good Work ! But If you look into the video at 8:20 after installing the pink connector , In same harness there is also a flat black connector with 4 wirings What is this connector attached to ? Or is it left unused ?

Hi Nurul. Yes it is plug and play. ou can toggle from the android screen and the android screen. All existing functions will still be there.

Thanks for the reply. Im thinking of getting one as the pro nav screen in my car has a small blue line from led leak inside the screen. BMW quoted me over £2000 to replace it. I said I think I'll buy an android system & they said ok but it needs to be coded & they will not be able to do it at any bmw if I buy a different system. What a joke!.. £2145 to get it sorted lol. Thanks Mcrit. The aux cable connects to the android set female aux input in the wiring harness. Sorry I missed that one. :)

Hi David. For sound you will need to look at the aux cable going into the centre armrest. Select external device on idrive. As for your idrive issue, most likely it is a wrong connection somewhere. Please double check.

Hi Jay! Sorry mily bimmer doesn't come with navigation. But the android screen has map function and it is full screen. Hope it helps.

Wow, you gained yourself a new subscriber, your channel is absolutely brilliant for F10 drivers. My screen has been damaged and now has a permanent orange screen of death, was thinking to buy an android screen like yours and fit. My only question is, are you still able to view the regular iDrive features such as vehicle status, oil level, brake pads replacement, etc... hopefully you get back to me as it's the only think stopping me from buying it. Again awesome video!

@@gib8891 yes I have, installing it was easy until I had to fit the screen unit back into the dashboard, it was probably the hardest part as in my f10 there wasn't much space, but other than that it's perfect, make sure the antenna is where he placed it, I first tried to hide it in the glove compartment but then the GPS didn't work. Hope it helps.

hello.. i have problem with videos on youtube. on my radio the image is half the screen or less. how can i get a full screen picture? I'm talking about KZbin. on a couple of videos there is a picture of how it should be, but on most it is not even close. I tried changing the resolution in the settings, but it's only for the home screen, it doesn't affect android.

Hi Vishal. Yes we do. Aux is for the audio coming from the android, GPS is for navigation.

@NETT NETT CLUB I just figured out that my lvds cable are 4pin and the android tv 6pin, so its probably not gonna work properly? Maybe there is some 4pin to 6pin connector?

@@deividas3313 Maybe you have selected your android screen wrongly? 4 pin should be CIC and 6 pin NBT. I'm not sure about this though. Check with the seller who sold you this screen. They'll know better.

Did you plug everything in accordingly? Back camera might be interference. U can try to change to a led reverse light bulb. It worked for me. Check out my led video.

My problem was I ordered CIC when I have NBT. Weird that because my idrive layout isnt like NBT layout. The selected function has a box round it(CIC style) not a filled in colour. If you have an lvds plug that has 6 pins (4 in a round shape and 2 in a rectangle shape) then you have NBT. CIC only has 4 pin lvds cable.

@@tuncaybaran4365 yes everything works now. But the reverse camera still had problems when the NBT replacement came I disconnected the positive that was wired to the reverse light and taped it up and the reverse camera started working properly

I am planning on the installation myself. Now there is this stand out 12.3” that I am eyeing at. On AliExpress I can get it around rm2k before tax (god knows how much the tax will be). There are workshop who offers the same model with installation + 1 year warranty for RM2.9k. What’s your gut says about it? Mine is a 2011 F10, so it’s also a CIC unit but mine is with bigger screen currently. My current unit already have AUX in my centre console box and with GPS built in, do I still need to install additional GPS antenna like your video?

I’ve same problem. Install everything how should be. Connected the aux cable and got sound for few minutes then never got it again. I’ll try change the aux cable and try plug a headphone to android aux out to check if got sound.

@@tiagoferrofernandez1256 do you have also AUX slots in the back? I have the same issue when the setting is set to Auto AUX in the Android System. Then somehow it chooses the rear AUX instead the front one in the armrest. If you set it to Manual in the settings and you set to AUX Front in the CIC System it works. Wondering if this can be fixed somehow, that the Auto Selection will choose the FRONT AUX.
