I strongly disagree with not having a manual. A manual allows better traction during turns (by releasing the clutch during the apex). India has an E-Clutch that can convert any manual to drive like an automatic, at will (yup, drive just like an automatic) and can be installed in any manual car. That aside, I do agree that this is one of the best reviews of all time! Amazing! He has a good balance of technical terms and layman's language, funny too (about those insects in trees). He is easy to relate to. This guy is so down to Earth. He tells the truth about the discomfort of the seats and the creaks and the ride. I am definitely subscribing! *As a side note.... Carbon can act like wood. So, about the creaks, be careful about wanting race car parts for the street. Carbon fiber roof isn't practical. I prefer tops that open, sunroof, etc A) To me, Michelin or Continental Run Flats for ride comfort is a must. Those are that good. B) MSS springs are also must for comfort. C) Evolve Automotive, on KZbin, has the most compliant/performance custom Bilstein B6 suspension mod for the BMW F80 M3 C) For front comfort, seats needs to be replaced with Recaro CS 100 or something like that or the Sparco SPX. If you really want it wild. You can have those seats customized to have stock electronic controls. E) Please, upgrade your brakes (and the widest tires possible are a must). F) Exhaust? VSFR, Fabspeed, or Dinan can help with that. Try their downpipes with a BMW M performance exhaust. It would be best to upgrade to a single turbo like the N55 My last disagreement. BMW had an idea to make the turn signals more efficient, but their poor implementation is horribly dangerous. It was finally rectified with their X7. So get the turn signal stalk switch from the X7. Also, never past cars @ high speed on their right side or in the right lane without honking and flashing high beams before you pass or you can get yourself and others killed! @ higher speeds, use your horns as well as your turn signals for aggressive lane changes. Watch out for dangerous jealous folks that may see BMWs as an insurance job. They will abruptly jump into your lane. Avoid driving having to make split second decisions. Allow plenty of room to stop. **Watch out before overtaking a truck, the jealous hater in front of you, will brake deliberately, not leaving you enough room to overtake the truck in the next lane! Respect the power of these BMWs. Drive wise and safely. All the best!

I totally agree if you can wheel like a mad man and heel toe, but most guys aren't experienced enough to turn a car properly with clutch kicks. That being said, they are better off in the DCT car, since they are able to easily downshift and brake into a corner without unsettling the suspension.

Great review, I agree with a lot of the points you make. A lot of people shit on the F8x for having “bad” steering but to me it’s perfect, super fast & just communicative enough but not so much that it’s annoying. These cars have & will continue to age well.
