These cars seem amazing, and I am seriously considering one as I may move on from my E92 Comp M3, but the current platform, with the twin turbo and Florida heat, plus the complexity, scares the life out of me.

Had a f90 m5 with stage 2 last year, loved it. You'll love it once you get the fuel pump sorted. Don't forget to do the trans tune if your going for all out numbers. BTW great content on the G80, just picked one up. Shame you didn't do the dme unlock its said to be the game changer. The Piggy backs are really just the gate way drug for the ;-) BTW do you have the green m3's youtube page or more videos of him running? i'm interested in the dAHLer unit as well.

Thanks. I am going back to the dealer tomorrow. Well for RWD the numbers I was getting on the Dahler was very close to the stage 2 pump tunes with full unlock so I did not see a real benefit unless running E which I don’t run very often. My buddy that I gave the Dahler to has a Dravit M3. I will be covering his car on my channel

It's a used car, you are going to have issues with it in some shape or form. But regarding this, it happened to me also and it ended up being a battery and they reprogrammed the software to the latest updates. car's been good since ($1300 covered under warranty). I've had my First Edition F90 for a year now and about 4 months with downpipes and E30 tune and it has been a blast. One thing I will tell you to look out for is the speaker lights. The illuminated tweeter and the main speaker on the driver side door started to get dim or flicker. Get that in the shop as soon as you see it before warranty is up because they were like over $1k each. I got mine done before factory warranty was up. But it's little things that don't mean too much, at least to me, and I've been hurting feelings with this car. One thing I did learn in having an F90 is that not a lot of people know what an M5 is. I am going to say though if this is your first BMW performance V8, as a shop owner, man you better either get really good at fixing it yourself or start putting money aside lol especially for those carbon ceramic brakes ($30k job btw). I still got my 600hp N54 E92 as a backup.

Yeah I am not too worried about the problems. I had issues with my brand new G80 M3. My car does not have the B&O sound so I did not get the light covers over the speakers. I don’t plan to track this car so the CCBs should be good. They are supposed to last the life of the vehicle.

hey quick question when you take your car to get service do you unplug the race chip and put everything back to stock or is it okay to leave it plugged in and they still cover it under warranty

Well I only go to the dealership for warranty work. When I took my G80 I took the Racechip off. I did not want any issues. I also think it depends what you are taking it in for.

Fuel pump went out on m550i. Transmission and fuel pump sensor that detects leaks. Thank god for that warranty

@@mrbleach4609 best thing I ever did, I definitely miss the wide body hellcat. But the fit and finish also the handling and consistency in the power is amazing. The German engineering is top notch man. You won’t be disappointed. Do it.

I was having a hard replicating it on my own. When I told the service advisor I already knew it was the fuel pump and needed it to be replaced, he goes: “we can’t replace it if the fuel pump is deemed working.” Luckily for me they were able replicate the issue replace it along with a few other components. Getting my car back in a few days. They’ take their sweet lil time when you don’t have a loaner car. SMH

My m5 has done this few times. I knew it was the fuel pump, took to dealer and they came back saying can’t replicate (like always). My warranty has now expired, going to have to pay out of pocket now.

Bmw should still honour that and fix it for free. If you have the slip where they said it wasn't an issue, take it back with you and say that it's still happening.

So they could not replicate mine either but you have to grab video. So every-time I started my car I had my phone on, until I got it on video. It’s crazy but it was worth it for them to not back out of fixing it. They have found the issue now and I will be updating everyone soon

So most likely the M5 had the stock software and you’re gonna need to update it but that will lock the DME

My car is having the same exact issue. Did they figure your car out. My car was at the dealer for 3 weeks. They changed driver side injectors, swapped ecu, changed coils, software update, and plug. Drove it maybe 50 miles today and still acting up. If they figured out your car please let me know

I notice in your videos you tend to always look at yourself in your camera window vs when recording looking at just the of camera so it looks like you're looking at your viewers. You're cool with thic whips and you should ask him how to break that habit as it would make your videos even better. Just a thought.

Same issues on my F90 M5. LPFP failure and cracked coolant reservoir... This is pathetic from BMW on a car that's a few years old and still no recalls. I decides to fix it myself bc the dealership is booked until 2 months from now bc they have to fix recalls on EGR coolers lol wtf.

My G80 had issues also. Every BMW has something. Remember the crank hub on the S55’s. It is apart of the bimmer life 😂
