Thanks a LOT for this. My radiator took hits from small stones and birds during a recent toad trip and now leaks so badly, that the small coolant tank empties quickly. Had the car go into limp mode during the road trip, and had to reset fault codes with OBD link tool to complete the trip. I hope there is no major damage, and have to either fix or replace the radiator. This video showed me a solution to a problem I thought I had to live with until I could do a CSG radiator upgrade with the protector. Thanks again! 🙌🏾

Ours in Europe also come with the rock guards for either side coolers too. Looking at that, looks to be the same size as ours so should retrofit.

About cooling and track handling, Kevin what are your thoughts on upgrading the radiator to something bigger like the one from Wagner? Would upgrading the intake manifold (from Wagner) yeld better performance (cooling performance wise) ?

Is it required to remove the front bumper to install the rock guards with the L and R module mounts? Can this be installed from the top?

you can remove as much as you want, i just wanted as much clearance as possible because 1. it shows better on video and 2. i'm doing other work as well

Hey man, Ik this is off topic l, but I am having the hpfp failure from over posting that you talked ab a while back. I just did my charge pipe, dp, and stage 2 MHD 93 oct ots and when I tested it it did the crazy backfire from the downpipe. I changed the spark plugs the next day and it is still doing it. Ik you said it’s bc of over boosting,so I’m going to lower it, but I also accidentally broke some plastic in the clip to the map sensor on the dp. It is still plugged in, but there is some missing plastic where air can get in, would the map sensor also cause this issue for me on the ots tune? I’m not sure if it needs replacing or not bc it isn’t giving and error code or anything. Thanks

It literally says 340i in the title, 335’s don’t have heat exchangers they have intercoolers which only have cooled air inside, the heat exchanger is only on the 340i as it uses coolant mixed with cold air to cool your charged air
