BMW i5 M60 and i4 M50 rant

The wife and I rented an i4 M50 for a week, and I agree about when you hammer it, the steering seems to have a torque pull to the side. That's a little scary, but manageable. I prefer having "old school" manual buttons and stuff. Electronics offer more things to break. We test drove the i5, but only got about 15 minutes with it. This and another video comparison have me thinking the i4 is the better car: better range, better efficiency, lower price. The interior noise was fine for us, especially coming from ICE cars.

I’ve now had my fully loaded i4 M50 for two months and I absolutely love it. I actually cancelled my order for a new i5 40. (couldn’t afford the m60)

I had an i4 m50 for a while, but it does have short legs, and I live in an area where CCS fast charging is pretty scarce so I got rid of it. If it had NACS, which it won't until sometime in 20205, I'd still have it.

I wish they gave you an i4 with laser headlights and the 20” wheels so you get the fender flares. Either way, I ended up going with the i4 M50. i5 tech is amazing, but i4 looks so damn good! Great comparison. Thank you!

Range tells me I won't sit in it very long. Which means I can go for a less comfortable and driver focused including size. That would be the i4 M50. I am not mature enough yet for an i5 M60 creature comforts 😂

To the person that is contemplating buying these cars if it’s not too late, I have owned both of them that I 5M 60 it’s just another level of superiority it might not handle as great on twisty turns is the I four but overall it’s a 10 out of 10. It’s nicer than my Porsche and the best part about it is you can pick up one for about 90 K to get a Porsche or a audi Benz with the same technology power and luxury you have to spend $150,000 all day long. It has four wheel steering up to 8°. It’s an impressive vehicle and when you hit that boob and your push 630 foot pounds of tour and zero to 60 and a few seconds more like three seconds by the way the E4 does the same here to 60 time because it’s lighter, but the five overall is a better car and my personal opinion having to own both

The invoice price on the I five is $70,000. The MSRP is 86,000 that $16,000 of wiggle room but do not expect to get more than 5K off sticker price but if you’re smart, you will demand off and tell them you already have that offer at another dealership.

Whatever current incentives are currently posted on the BMW website. Go to shopping, then lease and finance offers. I can get a salesperson to give you assistance.
