Those cars charge exactly the same, you should look at the percentage. The capacity ot the battery defines charging power, relatively they charge nearly indentical. I'm curious what the curve looks like above 80% - that indicates top buffer amount.

It's the same per cell, but overall the iX1 loses out since it has less of them.

​@@UhOhUmm I don't know if it loses, you get what you pay for - smaller battery=lower charging power, but overall percentage gains are simillar. This is the limit of current technology.

@@DG-uv3zw Ofcourse, I own TM3 and this BMW. Around city this BMW is much better than any Tesla. In my country TMY AWD and base iX1 cost exactly the same, and you can get about 7% off price at BMW. So why buy a second Tesla? If you want more versatile car go for the Model Y. Never been a BMW fan, this is my first one :).

@@DG-uv3zw Tesla also does not comes with anything besides a battery and big screen. It’s an empty car for a lot of $ with a very uncomfortable ride. Also a fast charge will kill the battery faster too. So iX1 is balanced in that regards

Apart from the volvo they all hit 80% near as makes no difference at the same time. 80% is probably about the time most people will leave. I'd call it a tie tbh. How far will 80% get you in each car is the question. I'm guessing the tesla has an advantage but then you miss out on the german premium...

But what matters is how far you can drive with that 80%. Percentage by itself says nothing.

@@marcoteeuwen6144 Totaly agree. Would be more interesting to look at charging times for say 200/300 km of range. Instead of how long it does take to charge to 80, 90 or 100 %. I guess that could "easily" be derived from Bjorns charging curves and range/consumption tests

Im a bit late here, but that would be.. eeh, unsmart. Its a useless guess based metric because range is so dependent of outside factors. Like for pumps and tanks in ICE cars, where you'd ask how big the tank is, and how many liters pr minute the pump goes. KWH pr minute would an actual usable metric, but thats implied by the KW metric thats already in the graph!

Model Y is actually the best car to get in this case and in terms of price and efficiency. Its also actually cheaper to oder from Norway for those who live in Norway, Even after 500k NOK. Its tesla super charger network is 45% cheaper than any other when you drive a tesla and charge. I mean if you travel alot in Europe its a win win. Because its cheaper, its value loss is lower. I havent check the prices of other cars but after Reading the comments here it makes alot of sence

Supercharger are the most expensive of all. The charging card which comes with the bmw is at 35c/kWh at ionity.
