BMW iX3 range: real-life test: 462 km (287 mi) with 4.17 mpkWh, 14.9 kWh/100 km :: [1001cars]

BMW iX3 is an all-electric car and it has 80 kWh batteries gross (74 kWh net). Electric motor offers: 210 kW (286 HP), 400 Nm. BMW claims: iX3 Electric can drive up to 460 km (286 miles) on a single charge (European WLTP). I checked what is the reality. I drove 462 km (287.1 miles) with AC on and 27 km (16.8 mi) left. Total energy (power) consumption: 69 kWh (4 kWh left).
Average energy (power) consumption: 14.9 kWh/100 km (240 Wh/mi)
Average energy economy: 4.17 mpkWh (miles per kWh)
Energy consumption and range in different scenarios:
City: 450-500 km (280-310 mi) | 14.6 kWh/100 km | 235 Wh/mi | 4.26 mpkWh
90 km/h (56 mph): 420-450 km (260-280 mi) | 16.2 kWh/100 km | 261 Wh/mi | 3.84 mpkWh

I just got an ix3 and at full charge it only shows 300km range on eco mode @ 25 degrees Celsius. How are you getting it to show 400km? Does this change over time with driving style? Thanks for doing this video it definitely helped me understand the how the ix3 range is impacted by varying speeds.

Sorry for missing your comment :( I would do that if I had access to faster chargers close to my area, but unfortunately the fastest has no more than ~90 kW

Real but easy life, isn't it (average speed without motorways, warm outside temperature, one passenger onboard...)? With my usual trips, according to your measures, I would not get more than 330-370 km. Good involvement of Thomasz anyway, thanks.

it wasnt warm weather.10C...its good car,imo, in urban areas. its honest wlpt range. much better than polestar for example or model or another lux suv.

I have same range 300- 345 km maximal. I drive in Central Asia with climite control. 45 degree celcium
