BMW M2 Competition Review - Episode 12 - The M Car Monster 😈 - ww.hothatches.co.uk

So as we draw a close to 2022 - Chris threw me the keys to this BMW M2 Competition as a final test drive for the year.
Finished in Hockenheim Silver / DCT Gearbox / Comfort Pack and speed limit display all included.
As a previous M2 owner (both the OG and Comp) I have been keen to showcase these fantastic machines for the hot hatches series for some time.
I can only hope I've done them justice!

Hi Sam Thank you chap - really appreciate it. LOVED my OG - in my opinion a steal at the moment and certainly the better track car. HOWEVER Comp was the better daily and for me better engine 👌 I did a video with the OG / COMP / CS that might be worth a watch?

@@CarMadDad Sweet video - keep these coming. What makes the OG the better track car? I feel like the OG is a bit more raw and analogue compared to the Comp, although the comp is technically the superior car. Shoutout from Hong Kong!

Do you think/feel the 911 is worth the extra 70-90k usd? I've always wanted a P car, but the m2c is another car that I've always wanted, getting one would probably just delay the 911 aquisition, so one has to consider just waiting and jumping right into the 911. I have not driven any of them, and im coming from a low mileage supercharged s2000 which is my daily driver, so I really need the backseats, which is why I discarded the supra... Any suggestions? Ohh and is the manual as bad as they say? Im not sure about manual vs dct

Depends what you are really after in the car chap. Coming from an S2000 I can’t imagine you would be disappointed with either car… personally I don’t rate m car manual boxes but it is of course entirely subjective. A Porsche manual box however 👌 Sounds like Some test driving might be in order!?!?

I just think the 2 series is a cracking looking car, Porsche seems to be the better car and a step up to the big boys but they all look the same to me I’m really trying to like them due to their capability and steering feel but I haven’t driven one just from what Iv heard

Comfort pack bundled electric memory seats, reverse camera, comfort access, wireless phone charging & hotspot, electric folding mirrors. Plus pack was smoked alloys, heated seats, HK speakers, adaptive led headlights, sun protection glass.

How would you compare the M2 Competition F87 to perhaps the 2023 Toyota Supra 6MT? Would you take the M2 over a Supra?

@@CarMadDad Typo. I meant F87. I appreciate your feedback. The used car market is still crazy. I found a 2021 M2 Comp with executive package with 3,500 miles for about $4k more than the car cost msrp when it was sold. Debating if I should go for it because at that same price I can get a new 2023 Supra 6MT A91 special edition. Weird times in the car industry
