Had an LCI for 4 years now. 27k miles, been to the alps to many tracks and I still love how it drives. It’s a nutter of a car, currently running Michelin ps4S, braided brake lines, ferodo ds2500 pads, stage 2 bm3 with upgraded charge pipes FMIC and VRSF sports cat, sounds nuts and goes nuts. Still love it.

M2C is a sweet spot of a car. Small. Fast. Engaging. Useable. Not too expensive. Good looks. What else for the money does all that!? My mum has a Porsche 718 Spyder. It’s fabulous but my M2C is more of a hoot at road speeds more of the time.it’s not all about outright speed, it’s about how the car makes you feel and that’s where the M2C is hard to beat. I just need Ohlins & SS top mounts for a more compliant ride and a better front end. Happy days

A lot of comments on here about the PS4s tyres, Personally I didn’t like them on the M2. The car was on the Litchfield AST suspension kit with PSS tyres and and was a absolute blast to drive,was so much more composed and gave you lots of confidence. I then moved on to the PS4s and all that was lost, steering response as speed was vague, on fast bumpy Uk roads it never felt settled and the rear end kinda felt like the tyres were under inflated accelerating out of corners. I tried many different pressures and changing dampers settings and couldn’t get that confidence back. Then last summer I bought a new set of 763m wheels that came with cup2 fitted and that was a total transformation back to how a M2 should feel. I would like to try some BMW star marked PS4s as they used a Cup2 construction but unfortunately not available in stock M2 sizes.

I feel your joy as a fellow M2C owner, they really do get under the skin! I think the M2 OG was blue for launch colour but the M2C was HS? Totally agree on the MPSS in the cold and wet, spin city even in third! Neighbour with an M2 OG said Michelin 4S with a slight increase in size transformed his so may investigate. Biggest shock for me was the ‘M-Tax’, jeez the parts really are massively more than say they m-lites (had a M135i) - the obvious being the exhaust rear section with circa £500 for the m-lite and over £2k for the M2C. Really liked the vlog on suspension secrets and considering them for a refresh of the settings as they seem to transform cars with their knowledge. As for what next (my car is also over 2 yrs old) like you I’m struggling but I do have an itch for a 6 pot manual Cayman - work commute (when ever I get back to office working) is only 5 miles away so the practicality is less of an issue. Finally, thank you for sharing the vlogs, they’ve been particularly useful given the challenges we’re all facing - good luck in the new year and hopefully upwards and onwards for you and the family. Cheers, Kevin.

I have a M2C as well and I have to disagree that the stock suspension is geared towards understeer. On-throttle the car always looses traction at the rears first, even if you just touch the throttle ever so slightly. Under braking the car can of course understeer if you're asking too much of the front axle. But I'm just an amateur track driver so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I'm still a long off of figuring out the subtleties of this car. I do agree that it's a frightening car sometimes yet absolutely incredible to drive.
@CarMadDad2 жыл бұрын
I hear your point buddy and always value opinions… HOWEVER if you mess with the geometry you will quickly see how the front axle is geared away from maximum potential and towards what manufacturers deem safer (under steer) If your ever at a track day I’m at your more than welcome to have a try 👍

Nice review. I've just sold an LCI after 4 years of ownership, similar mods to your comp. The Nitron coilovers I had unlocked the car's character for me. Did loads of track days this year and I realised I was risking a lot of money as I pushed my limits in it more and more. So it's gone and I'll be getting something smaller/cheaper like a Mégane or i20/30N that I can hack around in with less concern. Your video makes me question that decision 😂

Hi Mark Firstly thank you for the view and comment. Love the thought of tricking out an OG - Bet it was mega.
