Just got the manual version of this car and you’re right, it’s just mental !! I may not be a great race car driver but everytime I drive it snd look back I wand to get back in it again. This car doesn't need traction off to go crazy. You should drive it with traction control fully on, there is enough fun. This is one of the best modern machine on sale.

Don't miss the whole point of this car. This is homologation to the first BMW's, the ones that made it what it is, the ultimate driving machine. This is a last hurrah of dying breed. This is engineering pushed to the brink. Porsche will always be there but this won't, (maybe). It's not an everyone kind of car, it's a BMW enthusiasts car. Growing up I wanted a E30 325IS so bad but now I want this even more. So if I had the money I would definitely buy it

Why will Porches always be there? All petrol/diesels are set to be banned in Europe by 2030, and this car is already an automatic so it's not really in the spirit of those old BMWs.

Is voiding track driving an SA thing or global thing? I’ve heard Porsche (from the Porsche dealer) does the same thing in SA for the 911? But globally they market it as a track car. I’m kind of curious to know how SA became the only country you can’t take a 911 on the track.

The GT4 is $30k+ more (US), no back seat and can’t legally get it over 2nd gear on any road in the manual. I’m 6ft and can sit behind myself in the CS with head and leg room to spare. Trunk can fit a full size suitcase, a few carry ons and a backpack. The rear bench completely folds down in a 1/3 + 2/3 configuration as well if you really need to haul some stuff. They’re not even close to the same class car, the fact everyone is comparing them just goes to show how great of an all around car the CS is.

My M2 CS has an MSO/MCO (a legal document: the Car's "Birth Certificate") generated by BMW at time of assembly that states it has a 405 HP engine.

In my country RS3 would be around a million dollars where else M2 CS would be around 1,7mil or more . As a daily ride,I would go for RS. Yes M2 is fantastic ride but bit pricey for it's size
